Hellooooo, random ass comment here but: I haven't really been active on tumblr for literal years, I was following you for your spirk way back when, and I think I left the site around the time you were starting your gigolas era. Now I dropped by and saw you on my dash, and was pleased to see you're deep in the jayvik brainrot; there's just something so, so, so lovely and healing about someone whose art I remember so fondly still doing wonderful stuff and posting it and being in fandoms I know. Gives me all of the warmfuzzies. Also, you're married? Holy shit, I did not remember that, or maybe it happened after I left. Either way, YAYGRATZ! A little bit of Reese’s back story for her in @jahaliel‘s padawan nemo AU! (feel free to do with this whatever you will, Jah :) )
The first time Reese ever visited the Star Wars world, it was a very long time ago for her, and for the Star Wars world. It was in the time of the Old Republic, when the whole Malak thing was going on. She joined with the crew of the Ebon Hawk, and after discovering that she could connect to the Force due to her Visiting ability, she was trained by the Jedi on the ship.
She spent a few years hanging out with them, and then helped the Jedi Exile on her mission, but then one day when she tried to go back, something happened and she couldn’t. Instead, she was in the Star Wars world many many thousand years later, where the events of the movies were slowly playing out. Occasionally, Ayden, her brother, went with her to help.
She tried to change things, – and she managed to change a few small things. She saved the younglings, by getting them off planet before Anakin fell, and Ayden managed to cut the Emporer’s hand off, in an attempt to help Yoda.
But really, they had very little effect. They helped out with the Rebels, and Reese gave Luke a few tips, and then the Empire was defeated, and Luke formed his Jedi academy.
Then, Reese spent some time in Thedas, learning new skills and meeting new people and trying the help things there. Then Thedas ended while she was in it, and she was reborn in Ancient Elvhen. It took a while to get her Visiting ability working again to the same skill that she had it before, and she started going through the worlds, trying to find her home world, but she found other worlds just like the Elvhenan that she was in, except there were differences.
In her Evhenan, Lavellan was sent back too and had become Mana’Din. In other worlds, there were Humans, a Qunari, a Mahariel, and even a Hawke. Somehow all of them somehow managed to become Evanuris in their worlds, and they came together to form Team New Evanuris.
One of the New Evanuris was a woman named Nemo. Reese found out that Nemo was not from Thedas, and was from Earth. Whether it was her earth or not, Reese didn’t know (Nemo didn’t know what Adstrum Enlightenment was, but she could have ended up in Thedas before it became a big thing) but the two becamse really good friends, and after Reese managed to get back to her home world, the two started introducing the wonders of Mario Cart and other party games to the Team.
However many years passed, Reese wasn’t sure. She didn’t keep track like the others, since her popping into other worlds changes how time affects her (she could be in another world for a year and only be gone a day, or vice versa, or it could be linear) but she was sure it was quite a while, in one of Nemo’s Thedas runs, when the Jedi crashed there, and Nemo asked for her help.
It was strange being back there, after so long, even if it was the Star Wars reality that she had been in before, and she would pop in every now and then, just to see how things were going, but she didn’t really interfere. She learned from last time that sometimes, things just want to happen, and she wasn’t sure she could handle the pain of it again.
Then even more years later, Nemo told her about how she was going there, with a plan to change how things happen, and even had the Force on her side, so Reese decided that she’d help out, but she still kept her distance for a short while, until one conversation with Nemo about the war, Reese decided that she might be a little more active in Nemo’s quest.
So she incorporates herself into the world. She gives herself the story of being trained in the Jedi ways by a Jedi stranded on her planet, but he’s killed before they can leave the planet, but he gave her his lightsaber, a duel bladed pink one.
It’s actually her lightsaber, from her first time around in the Star Wars world, but whever anyone wonders about it, or her dead master, they remember him fondly, before not thinking about him for a while.
Yay for magic!
The Jedi order are not sure what to do with her, as investigations into her mind show that it’s the truth (again, yay for magic!) but she is an unknown force user in the time of war. So they keep an eye on her, allowing her to be in the Temple.
And also allowing her to help Nemo with her plans.
