     It had probably been close to half a year since Snatcher had last seen that space brat, so one could imagine the look of sheer shock on his face when he heard word of her return. The undead children of the forest had practically clamored over to Hat Kid, many of them bombarding her with questions on her travels, and what took her so long to return to the Subcon Forest. Snatcher, of course, made sure he was late to the party, as if he were trying to make a tsundere statement that he didn’t miss her that much.

“ Hey, kiddo! Long time no see! I was honestly hoping you decided to stay clear of this place, but I guess we can’t all get what we want, hm?”

The doll-faced cryptid looms over the child as they approach, hands clasped together in delight. They haven’t had a customer in so long -- perhaps these badges they carried would finally find a loving home. Would be great, since they certainly didn’t use them.
