Croissant cookie: makes a mistake
Timekeeper cookie: oh, don't even worry about it!! I gotchu babygirl, lemme js rewind time real quick! You're still learning, that's okay!! You're trying your best :D
Pure vanilla cookie: makes a mistake
Timekeeper cookie: SYBAU YOU ABSOLUTE FAILURE! YOU'RE GOING TO KILL US ALL! LOCK THE FREAK IN!
Last Batch of jokes, hopes and predictions for Act 2:
But ShadowMilk ain’t doing crumbs to Timekeeper
I am actually so hyped for the relationship between the two! I’ve only seen Operation Timeguard and Mission! Save the future, but Shadowmilk has so many similarities to Timekeeper which is made most apparent in ep 7 and Wind, Piercer of Darkness. I’m so hyped for what the dynamic between the two chaos diva Gods would be, I have two ideas:
Besties who hate each other: I’d like there to be some kind of mutual understanding between the two. While Timekeeper already knows everything about ShadowMilk I can see Shadowmilk struggling but managing to get some kind of read on TimeKeeper. The eccentric entertainer and the eccentric viewer they kinda match each other’s freak in a way. I saw someone suggest they’ll have a fun dynamic where ShadowMilk enjoys causing trouble, and Timekeeper will have fun fixing his mess. The two would weirdly bounce off of each other but internally despise the other and are planning on their downfall. Timekeeper who can predict his every move vs Shadowmilk who is scheming and looking for any weaknesses or loopholes.
Or they’ll just straight up hate each other: it would be really funny if they just hated each other for the traits they share like: “oh my god they think they are so quirky and cool like stfu!” or “Having unmeasurable power won’t hide how much of a lonely broken mess you are sweety!”. And Pure Vanilla and Croissant would just be standing there like, “girl you are literally the same T-T!”
No matter what direction they go in, these two are going to be crazy together and I’ll defo start shipping em.
Please make Shadow Milk genuinely uncomfortable to watch at times. Shadow Milk has been inconsistently threatening, he has a few great moments were he feals like a maniacal threat (BY ep 2, the reveal of the Ultimate cookie and the kaleidoscope of the void come to mind) but they are overshadowed by his sillier/pitiful moments (which I like too and also want more of) Fully lean into the Chaos God aspect of his character while also emphasising how unstable and unhinged he has become.
I find it interesting that in the trailer SM seems to be the happiest he’s ever been, while knowing he’s internally being consumed and tormented by the ultimate dough. It makes sense, he’s driven by power and now he’s at the peak of it, but it also's not spending much effort masking himself and just letting loose all his malice and emotions. Make him a genuinely cool man, cut a bit of the silly and emphasise more of the edge, horror and chaos!
What I am worried about is them making either TimeKeeper or ShadowMilk make the other look pathetic. Timekeeper is a Boss and Shadow spent the entirety of Act 1 being dogged on (Tricked 4 times… probably gonna become 5). What I hope (and it seems to be what's being set up) Time Keeper will let ShadowMilk run loose while keeping a moderate leash on him, Shadow Milk will eventually break the lease somehow and become even more of a problem, Only for timekeeper to reveal her failsafe that will send Shadow Milk for a loop. I want a lot of: “I’ve outsmarted you outsmarting!” back an forth between these two (man it would be great)
It seems like they are setting up Ash Salt cookie and Beacon of Hope to be narrative foils, similar to the Ancients/Beasts in a way. It seems like both Pure Vanilla and Shadowmilk have adopted a new child (and both already suck at parenting, good job boys!) I think the Beacon of Hope will start off as this voiceless entity with a mind of its own and grow into its own character throughout the Arc. I can see it developing a special connection to GingerBrave easily (as he usually does). I need ShadowMilk to be disgustingly manipulative and abusive to Ash Salt, this is his greatest revenge to my boy Silent Salt and I want to develop the urge to take Ashy away for that snake and punt its blue ass into the sun.
Pure Vanilla cookie’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Part: 6. As much as it hurts to watch my Boy go through the horrors, I need Pure Vanilla to get worse before he gets better. Like throw all that shit at him: depression arc, shadowmilk taunting him, learning the truth about Lily (please please please), the world being in danger again, him getting tempted to change the timeline so White Lily never dies. I need him to reach a real low, lower than recluse or healer or anything! But also delve more into Pure Vanilla’s past and the relationships between the Ancients.
While my expectations for cookie run stories haven't been that high, I am so hyped for this next arc! The story has been impressing me ever since I started a few months ago and I’m looking forward to seeing how it’s going to go next! :D
