seeing zathura again was always a bit of a delight. they didn't know what to expect from her.. well, maybe they did have a general idea. but there was so much change. and seeing someone a few times over the ages makes them a lot more open to potential changes and shifts.

but atieno wasn't looking to be too existential at this moment. they just smiled as they were approaching her at this late night hangout spot just outside of the andromeda galaxy, where it seemed to be constantly buzzing.

"been a while since i've been to this spot. been a while since i've seen you. i hope that you've been doing well. missed you honestly." it's a bit of a sincere admission, one that seems to make them feel a bit sheepish.

Leaning back in the chair and crossing a leg over a knee, Jess props her tablet atop them. Conjuring up a friendly smile toward Zathura, she settles in with a deep breath and readies her stylus. A look of DETECTIVE PROFESSIONALISM that was second nature to her these days. ❝ So, what is it that 'cha need ? ❞

Catching up with Zathura was .. a refreshing experience. Being around someone that they had encountered over a few iterations is a good connection. Something that they didn't want to take for granted given how many people were incredibly transient.

As if they weren't transient themself. But they had a permanence many didn't. That was always the difference.

".... I can't believe that's what you've been hearing." They have to comment on the things Zee was sharing with them, genuinely taken aback by her updates.

"The stars out here is truly a wild place then." They muttered while shaking their head before feeling her link her arms with theirs.

They raised their eyebrow a bit at her. "Want to make sure i don't disappear on you huh? I'm not planning on running off. We've got to get to this spot together, remember?"

"me too," donna says. "unfortunately, for me and for you, it rarely works out in my favor. really, all this space stuff? i have nothing. can't even change a spark plug, that's me. i'm out here, though, aren't i? and between you and me, i think i do just fine."

"So, scale of one to ten," Rory begins, not raising his eyes from his phone as he addresses @timecruise , "how worried should I be? My nephew's on tour, it's half three in the morning, and he's just texted a video of himself upside down and belting Blaze of Glory." // starter call!

"I'm afraid they're not homemade," Olympia apologizes primly as she sets the tray, complete with teapot, teacups, saucers, scones, sandwiches, and small cakes on the table in front of @timecruise . "But, one can't be perfect, I suppose."

She smiles demurely before sitting, taking hold of one of the cups and the teapot and beginning to pour. "Now. What was it you wanted to speak to me about?" // starter call!

Everything was getting to be too much lately, the deadlines of his novels piling up; Melvin had tried branching out from just poetry recently. To write an actual book for once in his life, but his editor was expecting far too much. Maybe this was why he'd never written anything longer. It was far too much pressure.

Then there was the ever-growing feeling of how his twin wanted to make contact with their father. He didn't care about their parents, hadn't for quite some time. Yet Mellie did, and he didn't want to fight with her about this. How could he fight with the one person that made him feel sane in this world that was so cruel?

Simple answer really.

So, Melvin had done the one thing he could only think to do. Drop Gnocchi off at The English Garden and sought out Rembrandt Gardens, seemed like the perfect place for this. Nobody was around, thankfully, and so Melvin settled down behind a random wall on a random bench to do something he rarely did. Cover his eyes with his hands and have a good cry. The kind where even his shoulders shook ever so slightly.
