I was tagged by @kvothe-kingkiller to do these questions^^ Thank you oh so much!
1) Have you ever quit a book, why?
I remember quitting plenty of books and mostly when I do is because either the language is eh and it doesn’t catch my attention or when the plot simply never picks up. I stopped reading the Lovely Bones for that reason. (I also could not stand the plot. I fear rape in stories and movies much more than i did as a teen).
2) How do you feel about little diversions from the story? (letters from/to characters, flashbacks etc)
I love any extra content I can get from books I love^^
3) Be honest, in a book store, do you judge the book by it’s cover?
Yes. I gravitate to books with fantasy covers or old-looking ones and I completely and totally avoid cheesy romances with the same muscular dude on the cover of each lol
4) Any book youve read that you hated but some of your friends/other people liked? (dont do like, twilight lol)
Well I loved Twilight as a kid (don’t judge, the characters were beautiful to me and the language is what makes it so good). But a book I disliked, that my sister in particular loves, are the Mad Max books.
5) Favorite genre and best introductory book for it?
My favorite genre is hands down battle fantasy. With wars and descriptions. My favorite is extremely detailed so I’ll have to suggest my second favorite instead and that’s The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson.
6) If you could meet any author and ask them any one question, who would it be and what question? (enjoy that broad af question lol)
I would meet Patrick Rothfuss and and ask him if he’s planning to finish the third book before I die.
7) Have you ever read any book in the past that looking back on it, you were probably too young to read?
I read a book about elves when I was like eight. It was a really dense book and I honestly don’t remember either the name or what it was about. I was definitely too young to read it, but language wise. I don’t know about content.
I think that would have to be a collection of Hans Christian Andersen stories I read in high school. I love all of his stories.
9) If you had to marry a character who would it be?
Po from Graceling. He let’s Katsa wander and still loves her so much.
10) Have you ever really not liked a book recommended to you by someone who’s your friend?
I don’t think I have. I usually like what my friend’s like, but then again I rarely get recommendations. So I am open to any^^
11) Have you ever cried at a characters death?
Yes lol I cried at the death of my favorite character ever in the trilogy conclusion of The Icemark Chronicles by Stuart Hill. In my opinion it is the best ending that could have ever possibly had, but I legit threw my copy of The Last Battle of the Icemark across the room with tears streaming down my face lol
My questions \ (^ u ^) / Imma tag @timeisanoctopus @potter-inthe-tardis and @mortisia (no strings attached lol) and anyone else who wants to do it. @kvothe-kingkiller if you wanna do these that’s cool too^^ ty
