The Asylum//Closed
The old wooden steps creaked and groaned as she moved up them.It was obvious renovations had not been done to any any part of the building for many years now. This place should have been condemned decades ago, but where else would the state lock up the people they don't want anything to do with? The hospital was built on an island for godsakes you cant get further away from civilization. Everything about this place made her sick, the longer she stayed the longer she even felt like she was losing touch with humanity. As soon as the guard opened the door to the ‘A’ wing they were bombarded by an onslaught of voices.Men and women screaming, pleading for help, cursing, spitting, biting at the bars of their cell, doing anything they could to get her attention. Still though, she continued to walk, never making eye contact with a single one. This was proto call and if she were to be caught conversing with a patient without first having clear permission to do so, then there would be punishments. But today she did have permission, a new patient had arrived last night and it was her job to walk him through his daily routine and make sure he knew the rules. She had the guard open the door and then walked in with a completely fake smile plastered across her face.
“Are you ready sir?”
