Tick, tick, tick, tick....
The monotonous drone of the clock mounted on the wall of the warehouse has been driving you insane. Better than silence but still awful.
Today has been underwhelming.
Your lazy co-worker called in sick, so a trainee filled in their shoes and actually did their work before you clocked in for the day.
Since then, you've had nothing to do because the pizzeria hasn't really needed anything since this morning. Sure, you could restock the one can of tomato sauce they've used, but you'd just be overstocking them.
Okay, maybe that was an exaggeration, they've been using the products, it just hasn’t been reasonable to try and restock anything.
your attention was drawn from your thoughts to the board of supply counter, your eyes squint, fighting against the fluorescent lights to read the number, and to your surprise, they were low on soda.
Finally! Something to do. Yes it's like, the afternoon, almost nightfall, but it couldn't hurt to make a delivery. You needed something to do or you'd go stir crazy.
Pushing yourself off the box you sat on, snagging the truck keys lanyard from the wall, you marched over to the buttons on the floor. Stepping on the matching soda icon a few times, hearing the cluttering of them being moved from storage to pick-up behind you.
When you deemed the amount good, you made your way to them, taking a quick crouch and hoisting them up, and heading down that small flight of stairs to settle your goods in the truck. It didn't take many trips up and down, thankfully.
When finished loading, you came round to the front, stepping up and into the driver's seat. Seatbelt engaged! The engine roars to life, and you begin your journey across town. Thank God this island was small.
One of the best things about working so late was the right to the radio. You had your preference of tunes the whole trip through! So it wasn't totally boring, in comparison to the warehouse anyway.
Not like it was a long trip. Again, small island. So you only made it through half a song before seeing Builder Brothers Pizzaria come into your field of view. A charming brick building.
You couldn't help but eye the garage door. You know it's a motion detector, but you can't help but worry you're going to ram into it before it can fully open and break it. Digging into weeks' worth of paychecks.
It won't be happening today, though, as you turned your truck and backed into the delivery bay.
Stepping out, you make your way around to the back, opening its trunk and pulling down the lever to force your goods from the truck and onto the conveyor belt.
Place reeks of tomato and flour.. to be expected and you've been through this enough to know and adjust, but sometimes it's an assault to your nostrils.
If it hadn't been so loud, and you weren't so deep in thought, you probably would've noticed the door creaking. Would've greeted the approaching footsteps. It wasn't until they called out to you that you'd noticed someone was in the loading bay with you.
"Hey, um.. hello?" A bit soft spoken, nervous, but you heard them. Once the last box was out, you turned your head and were greeted with the employee of the month.. how many months in a row was this now? Elliot Builder.
He cleared his throat, adjusting the coat over himself. She must be getting ready to head out for the day. "You're typically the one on this shift, right?" You nod.
"Great! Uh, just.. wanted to thank you. The chefs have been talking about you a lot- all good things!-" She gestured with his hands for a moment, trying to figure out how to phrase it. "You're the only one that gets them their supplies on schedule. They really appreciate it and asked me to carry over the message. They were too busy to do it themselves."
Unknown to you both, it was a tiny lie told by the chefs to get Elliot to talk to you properly. Elliot has seen you around when coming back or going out on deliveries, and she's never had the courage to walk up and say hello.
It was certainly nice either way.
You smile "Well, that was kind of them. Tell them I said 'thank you'. Same to you.. Elliot, right?" You asked over your shoulder as you began shutting the truck.
Elliot nodded swiftly, a little wide eyed for a second, little surprised but it should've been expected really. It was pretty common and easily accessible knowledge. "YES- yeah, I'm Elliot. You are..?"
When you gave your name Elliot seemed to relax, mouthing your name as if to test how it felt to say before saying it with more confidence. "Of course!" He seemed a little rejuvenated.
Walking back around, you were no longer obscured by the walkway, so Elliot could get a proper gander of you, and she couldn't help the heat crawling up his neck. "Did you need anything else, Elli?" The sudden nickname was NOT helping!
"Well- no- but uhm-" He fidgeted with her coats lining. "Do.. you work tomorrow?"
"All week, excluding business days. You?"
"Same. My work hours are in the morning." She glanced between you and the logo on your truck, seemingly struck with an idea. "Maybe.. at the end of my shift, I could pay the warehouse a visit?" He offered.
It was strange to hear someone wanting to go over there. "I mean, it's pretty boring. You sure?"
"Absolutely! I don't mind! I do need to know how all this stuff works, so.." Right. She is the heir to the business.
"Well, in that case.." He gave you an odd look as you crossed the distance, plucking your hard hat off your head and setting it over her eyes. "You'll need the proper gear."
Elliot pushed it up with his index, "But what about you?"
"Keep it. The warehouse has plenty." You hand waved her concern.
She couldn't help but gawk for a moment before a dumb smile split her face. "Right, of course. Thank you.." to think you'd be concerned about his safety was a nice thought. Even though it was probably just your responsibility. Still, his face burned all the more.
"See you then?" He couldn't help the hopefulness carried like song through his tone. Cringing at how desperate it came across.
You snickered, climbing back into the cabin of your truck. "See you then."

You lay in your bundle of blankets that resembled a nest. Pillows supporting your back and feet. Blankets edges curled and tucked to form pseudo walls. Plushies surrounding you in comfort with your laptop over your thighs, busying yourself with either an essay, job listings, studying, or simply doom scrolling.
While you were more at ease, It was a given that the household would be more lively now that you have continuous visitors, especially ones so at odds personality wise, but you figured they'd at least be respectful of your personal bubble.
Well, most of the time;
1x had all but barged into your room, lugging a complaining Elliot over their shoulders like a sack of potatoes.
"Put me down!" Her protests fell on deaf ears as 1x unceremoniously plopped Elliot down beside you, jostling the two enough you'd almost knocked heads.
"WOAH- Hey! Couldn't you two at least knock?!" You huffed, shutting your laptop and setting it aside. The two always seemed to command your attention.
1x had ignored you, clambering to lay by you and Elliot with a soft grumble.
"So sorry about this, someone all but dragged me here immediately after my shift." Elliot tugged her shirt down with a whine "Didn’t even have the chance to change out of my uniform..."
You waved it off, but 1x sat up with a hiss. "Then take it off if it bothers you so much!"
"I don't have anything else to change into- WOAH, HEY-" Elliot didn't even get to finish his sentence before 1x was already attempting to tug her shirt over his head, revealing her black sleeveless shirt "HOLD ON-"
"If its such an issue then don't tolerate it" it bit back.
"Could you not tear my work clothes?!"
The two tussled for a minute, it was comical how much the two argued over seemingly nothing.
"Okay, okay, settle down." You waved your hands in front of you. The two separated with a huff, and Elliot took 1x's advice! But properly handling their uniform this time.
You turned to address 1x. "Whats this about?"
They paused, grumbling, looking down at you and Elliot's hands without a word.
Elliot and you exchange a look.
"You know you can be honest with us. We aren't judging you, we don't and wouldn't think lesser of you." You reassured, sliding a hand over 1x's.
Their expression scrunched, morphing into one of silent yearning, an unspoken request. Gently turning their hand over to properly, and firmly, hold your own.
With an understanding sigh, Elliot huddling closer to you, crossing their leg with yours. Squishing her cheek against your shoulder. "Come 'ere," She gestured to 1x.
Instead of replying, 1x opted to burrow his flush face in your chest. Eliciting an affectionate eye roll from Elliot.
They smelt of green apple, their shower products, no doubt. They were gifts from a while ago. Surprisingly, she's using them. NOT to imply you thought she smelt.. bad, you just weren't sure he'd care for fruity scents. You'd originally purchased it as a joke due to their transparent torso. Perhaps because it was a gift, they used it.
The idea of them being so sentimental on top of her being so clingy with Elli and you made you wonder how long they've desired this kind of relationship.
Elliot and you were together long before 1x, having met through a messed up order and Elli all but fell in love at first sight. Or conversation, more accurately. She's always said your personality just clicked with him, drew her in. He went as far as to sneak extra treats into your order before you were official.
It's hard to recall what led you and Elliot to like 1x. It was in a rehabilitation program that was.. less than fruitful in their attempts. So they brought in civilians as a last-ditch effort. Socialization and community were what they felt might encourage a more mellow attitude.
Granted you and Elliot hadn't been first pick. By happenstance, 1x and their parole officer had waddled up to the pizzeria for lunch and they took such a liking to you both they offered you a position to aid 1x. Who expressed as much disdain as you could imagine.
It took a little convincing, and bribery, but Elli and you took it on. 1x had given pushback in every form. Provoking you to start a fight, dismissing your attempts at communication, and insulting and belittling your intelligence.
None of which alone bothered you enough to break you down like 1x had intended. Elliot and you pushed back harder.
Elliots had dealt with plenty of stubborn customers and you've got a fire in you when challenged. For ever insult, she was complimented. Provocation was met with patience. Dismissal, although difficult, you'd compromise. Working at their pace, on his terms.
Though there were days you'd just shove them into line and forced participation if they were exceedingly snarky on a bad day.
This had its attention. Curiosity. Interest.
They'd eventually experimented, following directions and complying. Only for a day. Yet they felt overwhelmed by the positivity your pair exuded. He longed to see you beam like that again.
It became impossible for them to be irritated by you both, eventually even the admins hosting rehabilitation took notice of her docile nature when in proximity of Elli and you. Allowing her a more friendly home arrest at your place, before she was officially deemed rehabilitated and allowed free roam. With occasional check-ins from moderation.
Laying here, 1x sinking into your form, was a well earned gift that you wouldn't trade for the world.
"1x.." you murmur, staring at the top of her head. Catching both partners attentions.
1x shifted to look up at you "What?" He hissed, having wanted to just bask in your silent company.
You smile, cupping their cheek and pressing a peck to his forehead, causing it to stutter. "Thank you for choosing us."
Elliot let out a snicker at how stun-locked the notorious advisory became at even the slightest doting. Teasing it by trailing a hand up their arm to their shoulder, which she was quick to swat away, knowing Elliot's games.
"Aww, come on. They can kiss and coddle you but me? Oh, perish the thought!" He droned dramatically, resting his hand on her forehead for further exaggeration.
It huffed, arming themselves with one of your stuffed friends and wacking Elliot, earning a small 'off' of feigned pain. "Fuck off!"
She laughed, yielding to return to your side, but not before kissing your shoulder with a gaze of utter adoration. While 1x settled back down against you.
Elliot may have had reservations and they may butt heads, but after serious talks and effort, the relationship felt fuller, and they were more whipped then ever.
1x, a lot like Elliot, hadn't ever dreamed of being in this kind of situation, albeit for different reasons. To think people would not only give them a chance, but love them with all their heart was astounding. And if this is what it meant to be loved? They didn't mind being snarred.
They were everything to you. Rambunctious as 1x was. As anxious and worried as Elliot could be. You couldn't imagine a world without them. And that was enough for you.

Telamon is portrayed as a winged deity, using it/it's pronouns and refers to itself in the third person.
Reader isn't referred to by a name, using they/them pronouns. I do my best to keep them ambiguous.
Inferiority complex comfort, negative self-talk while praising another, established relationship, rapid pov changes, marriage of convenience, ending is a bit abrupt even for me
Telamon was a busy deity. Both in the aspect of proper matters to attend and busying itself with hobbies and moderation. Very rarely does one find the time to be with Telamon.
Despite this, it still went through the trouble of collecting a marital spouse every life span or so. Attempting to keep connections and understanding of the ever changing robloxian cultures.
Marital rituals are an established partnership that mortals were familiar with, which made it easy to enact. Its ties to loyalty, devotion, singularity (in prehistoric times), and honesty were values Telamon sought out when seeking robloxians to teach it continuously.
An advisor would work, Builderman had suggested it eons ago, as that's how he kept in touch, but that wasn't Telamon's style. To each their own.
So it's no surprise when one does becomes hitched, through its admittedly violent "spouse trial", as it was appropriately titled, that it'd be far from the typical marriage.
Granted, it wasn't cruel or conniving. It's simply a marriage of convenience. No one is to mistreat partners of Telamon, and they got whatever they wanted. Telamon sought them out for advice, insight, and knowledge in exchange for comfort, security, and stability.
But documents become harder to fill out when the selected.. "advisor" isn't behaving the way as those before them.
Speaking to quietly for it to hear, having to strain it's ears to hear their words. Folding in on themselves and refusing eye contact if they weren't forced. They all but shied away from any subject matter that put to much attention on them.
Doing just enough to quench its curiosity before excusing themselves. Had it not been for the necessity of this arrangement, due to benifits, they most likely wouldn't be wed to Telamon at all.
Dusekkar has noticed and expressed his, and other admins, concerns in regards to its spouses timid nature.
Telamon didn't quite understand, but if it brought upon concern, it'd seek answers. Even if the moment wasn't opportune..
Today was a small event, a changelog and announcement of updates. Builderman being the face paired with Roblox, the individual. Other admins attended along with important guests and plus-ones, like; Telamon's spouse.
The pair were far enough away from the stage for there to be conversation, sitting at a table close to the stage by the wall, and that was enough for Telamon to lean over the table and spark discussion.
"Spouse."
"Telamon.."
It tilted its head a favorable amount, it's owlish gaze drilling into them "Telamon inquires about your.. overly polite nature"
"I'm.. afraid I don't understand."
"You're quiet." It starts simply "You make yourself small in Telamon's presence. You've cultivated a certain.. distance from Telamon." It's usual cocky expression more solemn. Curious.
They blink, raising a brow and examining their lords expression before settling their hands in their lap "I'm merely showing respect, my lord. This.. arrangement is for information, not affection. I'm aware you do not possess our emotions, so I do not intend to push this to be something it is not."
They gestured between themselves; "You, the admins, and I are not.." They pause, trying to find a word that fits their feelings, "Equal."
Telamon didn't blink until the end, mostly out of surprise. The distance and odd timid behaviors.. was because they knew there was a difference in power and status, they didn't wish to overstep their bounds or be overzealous. They were conscious of their mortal standing.
How curious...
Telamon's typical cocky grin grew as it spoke "You are my spouse. Does that not make you Telamon's equal by design?"
They merely shook their head, gesturing with their hands as discretely as possible "For robloxians, yes. It is a bond of love and union, but you aren't a robloxian, my lord. You and I both know better than to fool ourselves with frivolous fantasy for what this entails."
They wanted to inquire on what brought this about, why Telamon was more focused on this rather than the event, and why it seemed so.. dissatisfied with their responses, having to note it's smile twitch like they struck an unforeseen nerve.. but they didn't dare let a question bubble up.
Telamon didn't even glance about the room before leaning over the table, coming face to face with them. Noting how they had flinched and clearly restrained from pulling away. "Telamon appreciates your efforts of being.. considerate.. but finds that distance brings doubt. That you are displeased with our union-"
It doesn't get to finish before they all but slam their hands on the table to shout "NO!" Silencing the room and startling even Telamon, who sat up.
They smiled awkwardly to the crowd of confused faces before Builderman cleared his throat and took a note "..Thank you for your input. Any other objections?" Fortunately, smoothing things back over to work, drawing attention away from their table.
"Sorry.." They muttered quietly "I meant; no, I am anything but displeased." The ground was suddenly super interesting right about now.
"I apologize if this has been causing you issues, is there a way you'd like me to proceed?"
Telamon shook its head, leaning close again, it's talons gently scrapping against the side of their scalp. It smirks, amused as they shivered. "No. If this is how you feel, Telamon prefers it. Your authenticity is important to Telamon's understanding."
"..Understood" they were hesitant, they didn't wish to become a liability, but if they weren't to play up a character, they wouldn't. Not like they could with their spouses hands combing through their hair. They couldn't focus their thoughts, feeling almost like they were melting in their skull.
A little ignorant to their state, Telamon continued their conversation while it's menstruations eased its spouses nerves. "You're merely curious to Telamon. Most robloxians Telamon has taken are clingy. Yet despite you seeming no less eager to please, you drift. You hide."
They glanced up to see it's gaze honed in on them alone and bashfully redirected their eyes "Yes, well, I suppose I am merely more aware of where I stand. I know that many feel as if this position is a free ticket to.. many things, but I'd say it's hardly something to brag abou- OW-"
Telamon was quick to pull it's talons back after nicking their skin so as not to further injure them. Yet it's eyes were pin prick thin. Was it angry? Had they misspoke?
"I-I didn't mean- it's an honor to be selected as your spouse! I merely mean it isn't proper to gloat!" They scrambled to correct themselves. "Many are seeking a bond with you that isn't properly suited for the role they are selected for and-" They were hastily cut short by Builderman closing up the event for the evening.
They rose and shadowed Telamon, who seemed to be mildly irritated, or at least, deep in thought. They couldn't help but remain entirely silent, fearing they upset the deity.
They made their way back to the heights and it's mansion, completely unbothered by any looks casted their way by staff and attendants as it pulled them aside to continue their discussion in private.
Telamon sat on the edge of it's bed, or nest, in their chambers, gesturing them closer, patting the spot next to itself. They, of course, obliged, given the tense atmosphere. Sinking into soft quilts and bedding, they'd almost toppled over.
It was first to speak "Telamon believes you are misunderstanding the importance of your role." It began,
"Robloxians are fragile, fickle, you live not but a blink of Telamon's existence. Telamon cares not for mortal fantasies and is happy to indulge as stress, Telamon's learned, hurts your well-being, and under Telamon's care; this is what Telamon seeks to avoid. You can not aid me if you are hurting, yes?"
They merely nod and Telamon grins. Stretching a wing to wrap around the opposing shoulder of it's spouse, a comforting gesture it picked up on from other partners. One they weren't pushing away and melted into instead.
"Speak your mind" it encouraged, leaning closer to be almost eye level with them.
"You don't feel as if we're being unreasonable? To ask so much of a God?" They inquired softly, as if they hadn't meant to speak. Running their fingertips over its feathers.
Telamon only scoffed, amused "You are mortals. Its your job to take up space. It's why you were made;"
Did all this in one go this morning cause I love them and I am going to the zoo with family in less than an hour- so if it's bad be so kindness to me- anyway byee!!

Griefer and Kyoko use their base pronouns, He/Him and She/Her respectively. Griefer does use leetspeak throughout, anyone is free to make a plain text version! *I would like to add a translation but I just don't have time rn to do so.
Reader uses They/Them, Reader is Player and is called such, I do my best to ensure ambiguity.
This is intended as a general Player x Kyoko x Griefer, you can view Player as a hinge if you wish!
Mutual pining, cuddles, bit long winded, some establishing of how I perceive things of the game but occasional inaccuracies as I did not look up to many references so it's mostly off memory and experience!

After Cruel King, it was no question whether something bad would happen to anyone around the swords, but a matter of what and when.
You didn't know much of anything regarding the swords before all of this, so seeing such brutality so early on has done a number on your impression of them.
Not like it matters how you feel or what you think, you still need to get them, they're still important, it's your only ticket home.
So why, after seeing the horrors more times than you can count, do you still linger Turitopulis?
You revisit every town on occasion for different reasons, but you always find yourself back here. Even after your business has long since been handled.
Granted! Kyoko has been an absolute doll, but was it really your place to idle? The future as you know it is under threat, you don't have a moment free to relax so casually! Kyoko knows that. She understands.
So why does she persist in your care? Why does your mind, numb and weary from the GhostWalker, seek out her presence? You suppose this happened before with the VenomShank..
Stumbling back to Shedletsky was a given. You'd always crawl back to him, you had to. But why did you find yourself venturing towards Turitopulis every chance you'd get?
You didn't check yourself into an inn most times, you'd trudge through that jungle, through the town, until you found her. Like a pigeon homing in with its internal compass, you always find yourself beside her with a new sword in tow as she greets you with a hug.
With heavy arms, you'd relax into her embrace, letting go of a breath you hadn't known you held. She was warm.
She'd hold you for as long as you needed it, sometimes even just holding you while you talked about how you felt, your recent escapades, she'd stay here and talk your ear off all night until you'd doze off if you let her.
And you wouldn't have minded, you'd find yourself thinking.
There was, however, business that needed tending for a long time in this town. Something you couldn't ignore, even when your 'emotions' has been sealed, you felt this.. itch to keep visiting Griefer. To see Brad. It was a sense of responsibility, something you had to do to right the future, you'd convince yourself.
For a long time, there wasn't anything that could be done. You'd had to embark on a new quest before you could figure out what you could even really do to help him. Well, his dad had an idea, but you lacked the resources to achieve it.
So when encountering The Great Flocci, you'd say your demand in the bottle wasn't unreasonable. Even if you'd basically be evicting him.. maybe that's another problem to sort out another time.
Gathering everything together, doing extensive research and work, being the mule between the necessary parties to make 'The Special', you'd finally delivered what you'd hoped be the cure, or a temporary fix, to their laps.
Seeing Griefer's return to his natural state had been.. relieving. A sign, maybe things can be mended. That it wasn't so bleak after all despite all the destruction you seemed to leave in your wake.
Although startled, and a bit hesitant, it was nice seeing him do his best to work things out with his dad. You couldn't be happier for him.
With that, your time and business and this village was up. There was no reason for you to keep coming back here.
Sure, you stayed for a little while to ensure they were truly settled, albeit learning more about them than you had intended.. which was refreshing in a way, to just sit and listen to stories, even if they were a bit grim. You had tea and sat with both men for hours before wishing them well and leaving that night.
You shouldn't be visiting this place anymore.
But the way Griefer kept insisting you let him protect you in battles, to allow him to fight alongside you, and actually staying true to his word, made your chest ache with a dullness you couldn't identify. Something you'd locked away.
So you'd visit. Sometimes. When you were done with quests or the pit, and especially after the WindForce.
Youd grown accustomed to the feeling of somewhere to come back to. Even though you knew better. This wasn't your home, you'd probably never come back here and even if you did, you doubt it'd still feel the same. Things will change beyond recognition. You were only hurting yourself by establishing a connection to the past.
But who could blame you?
It didn't help that the residences who knew of your blight, didn't seem to mind you coming from the future. If anything, they seemed even more determined to keep you company because of it.
You didn't think it would've lead you here.
Exaughsted, you'd allowed your body to take its usual trudge back to Turitopulis. You'd get an inn, sleep all this WindForce business off, and contemplate your next course of action. What sword did Shedletsky say you were after next? The DarkHeart..? Dark something.
Your thoughts were immediately cut off by Griefer and Kyoko greeting you by the inns entrance. Two people who'd left you puzzled. Sure, they were best friends before, but they hadn't spoken in years last you heard. They might have met up and rekindled their relationship, that's nice.
They didn't leave you much time to ponder, intruding on your silent night. "Player!" Kyoko waved you over. "We figured you'd stop by. You feeling okay, sugar? You look worn down." Gently pressing the back of her hand to their forehead, invading your space like she does your mind.
"Y0U R3411Y G0NN4 D1TCH US F0R S0M3 CR4PPY 1NN? JUST CR4SH 4T M1N3, PUNK!" Griefer was quick to Interject. It took a while for you to fully understand what he was saying originally, but now that you're used to leetspeak, his.. 'offer' didn't escape you.
You shook your head, you couldn't possibly intrude on their lives any further. You can't get attached any further.
Kyoko took hold of your hands, holding them to her chest as she leaned into your face, pleading "Aw, c'mon! Please? We haven't gotten to get together in ages and you need the rest." You've never seen Kyoko this persistent about anything, usually she's more laidback and going with the flow. you suppose this is important to her.
Though you didn't miss how Griefer deflated a little at your initial refusal. Huffing and almost pouting.. they probably planned tonight out and would've been disappointed if you didn't participate.
Sighing, you couldn't help how your head nodded, caving to their combined wills.
There goes a goodnights rest. It always happens. Leisurely train rides, walks through towns, and simple conversations all seem to turn on their heads around you. No doubt this would be no different.
It wasn't a sense of worry. You couldn't assume such, but then again, you were told your 'emotions' were beginning to return.. so it couldn't be inaccurate to say you were concerned.
You were dragged by Kyoko's hand while Griefer threw an arm over your shoulder as you were dragged to the mayor's home.
You felt more alert than usual. Your attention never on their words or what games you were playing, but the noises around. Every creak and groan was accounted for. You were more than ready to leap into action if anyone tried to initiate combat.
Were you going to be this antsy even before they decided to keep you company? You're not sure.
The pair exchanged silent looks, talking without the need for words. "You seem.. exhausted. Let's just turn in for the night, okay?" Kyoko offered as Griefer flopped onto his back, sprawled out on his sheets.
You'd nod, probably for the best.
Pushing yourself up by the knee, you made your way to the door before Griefer called out to you, "WH3R3 TF 4R3 Y0U G01NG?! WH4T P4RT 0F SL33P 0V3R D0N'T Y0U G3T?" You try to tell him you were going to the couch but he shut that down before you could finish. "N0." Blunt, but okay.
Taking a look around the room, you couldn't imagine where he'd even want you. There was a beanbag in the corner, but that'd probably be better for Kyoko. There was no way he'd let you sleep in his gamer chair. And he's already occupied the bed.
Running low on options, you settled yourself down on the floor. Dirty as it was, you were dead tired, it wouldn't matter anyway.
At least, to you, Kyoko was quick to stop you before you laid down. "No! No, you don't have to sleep on the ground, Player. You're our friend, our hero. That'd hurt and it's just gross." She pulled you up to your feet. God, she's strong. "We actually talked this out beforehand, so we're okay with it, but, if you don't mind.." Her eyes trailed off towards the bed.
Griefer avoided his gaze as he held up the blanket. An invention.
It took you a moment of looking between them a few times to realize they were serious.
Adjusting yourself as you lay between two best friends was not on your bucket list of things to-do while time traveling.
It was a bit of a tight fit given there were three of you, but you made it work. You laid on your back while the pair were on their sides. If they moved any closer you'd probably be sandwiched betwixt them.
You weren't sure why you'd agreed. Not that you really minded. You trusted them. Maybe you were just that tired.
Thinking about how tired you were helped you feel it. Your body ached and you hardly felt like you could command your limbs to move now that you've settled down. But your mind was still rampant, you were sure if the FireBrand had given you the ability, you'd be burning holes through the ceiling.
They'd noticed your tense behavior all night, maybe even before that, considering how Griefer was when you were quite literally fighting in a war. They probably set this up to keep an eye on you. That'd be nice. Felt too good to be true, but what else were you to believe? Especially when they made it hard to discredit.
Kyoko scooted closer, resting a hand over your heart to comfort you. "Nothing will get past me and Brad, we won't leave you on your own tonight. You deserve to rest. You've done enough, I promise. So please, sleep, okay?"
Ah, so it was worry.
"G3T S0M3 SHUT 3Y3, PUNK. 1 41N'T G0NN4 L3T 4NYTH1NG H4PP3N UND3R MY W4TCH." Griefer insisted, unabashedly curling closer to your side, his plant appendages brushing against your face. Hes like lianas, you thought.
Your lack of distress or discomfort from Griefer's intrusion of your personal space filled Kyoko with new found confidence. "Can I..?" She inquired, hovering close to your space. When you'd nod she'd cuddle close, her arm enveloping your waist over Griefer's. Nestling her head in your neck.
You couldn't help the fluster it brought you to be intangled with the two people you trust most in this time period. Or.. ever, now that you think about it.
You've always felt this loneliness, ever since you were little. No one seemed to understand it. Not even yourself. But laying here, in their embrace, feeling the weariness drain and your anxieties subside.. you can't help but wonder if you had missed them all that time.
Overwhelming as the mere thought is, as full as your heart felt, you were still human, still bone tired. And now that you felt the safest you've ever felt? You couldn't help how your eyelids drooped. Instinctively soothed by their plush warmth and kind words.
You let sleep take you, just as you had slowly, but surely, allowed these best friends to sneak you into their relationship together.

Elliot uses He/She. Upon request, specifically Elliot from WAAPP.
Reader uses They/Them. I do my best to remain ambiguous. Reader works as a Cashier.
Crushing, yapper x listener dynamic, customer service jumpscare raah!! Reader is attempted to be written with a temper, but I'm very new to this so I sincerely apologize if it isn't up to standard! Note that they're not really the tantrum kind, just emotionally charged quicker than most people. Their temper is internal.
You wanted to tear out your hair.
Great sign of a wonderful shift.
Punching, and I mean hammering, in the order of the customer who's already left to sit down.
You couldn't help how quickly you ripped the apron from your person and sped-walked your way to the employee's break room. Gently shutting the door behind you, as you weren't about to pay for anything that might break.
Using your mandated lunch break to hang your head in your hands and let out a muffled groan. Dragging yourself to the countertop, swinging the mini fridges door almost off its hinges and snag a beverage.
Tturning on your heel to sit on the couch, you're met with Elliot Builder. Who only offered you an awkward smile. Had he been here this whole time? His eyes must've been following you around the room until you noticed her.
She didn't speak but she did pat the spot next to her, letting you know you were still welcome here, even if you're grouchy.
Had it been anyone else, you'd rather go outside and risk smoke inhalation from resident addicts.
But it was Elliot..
Huffing, you flopped onto the spot beside him. Glaring daggers into the wall as you slouched. Knees supporting your elbows. He looked between you and the room for a bit before meekly asking "Did you- um.. Want to talk about it?"
And although their inquiry was nervous, you could hear the genuine concern leveled beneath it. Your mouth moved on its own. "This man came up and had ordered no tomato sauce because his son was allergic, supposedly."
Elliot nodded.
"So I had it replaced with marinara sauce, standard protocol. Only for him to come back and start yelling at me for serving him something so disgusting." You'd whined the last word, mocking him. "So I had offered to remake his pizza without any sauce, as we don't serve any other alternatives, and this GROWN ASS MAN- tries to make me give him a refund. Wanting his money back.. for a whole new pizza."
Arms flung all about as you talked animatedly about the customer. Something Elliot couldn't help but admire. You were passionate, even if you were pissed, your conviction was contagious. His eyes watching you, listening despite how palpable your irritance is.
"He kept arguing with me- I wanted to rip out his tongue. The absolute gall to be that inconsiderate and entitled to an employee barely scrapping by is beyond me and, frankly, disgusting."
She hummed in agreement, "I think it was incredibly unfair of him to be so inconsiderate of your time and efforts. You dont deserve to be treated like that. Do you want to try calling the day here? I could pull some strings with dad and see if he'll let you off for the day."
You blinked. That was.. an incredibly kind offer from him. Seeing as she doesn't like pulling the 'son of the owner' card to often, if ever, as he wants to be her own person.
"No - no, there's no need for all that. I'd rather grit my teeth and bare six hours of minimum wage" You couldn't help but sneer. "than push you to do something so uncomfortable for you.. That and I need the money."
He sat up to shake his head, sliding his hand to envelope your own. Not grabbing, just.. touching. "How could I be uncomfortable? It helps you. There's nothing more important than that to me."
It was difficult to tell if the redness in your face was rage or fluster, but the gentle, noninvasive touch made you feel.. supported. Her genuine desire to listen and be there, a presence, made your heart squeeze. Which was slightly uncomfortable, but it didn't feel.. bad.
You hardly noticed when those fumes of frustration were doused.
"If not a day off.." He spoke, cutting the silence. "We could always hang out after. It doesn't have to be anything insane. We can just rest. Assuming you want company."
You'd avert your eyes for a moment, as both a way to refocus your thoughts, but also to check to make sure no one planned on intruding. "I wouldn't mind, really. Though I'd probably just.. konk out after I get home."
Which earned you a snicker, "Fair enough."
Both of you took a moment to marinate in the silence. Mulling over where to go from here. Should you leave? Was Elliot done worrying or..?Well, even if he wasn't, you did have to get back to work here soon.. but not yet.
"Thanks. For this.. sorry for being so snippy.."
"Huh? Oh! No, not at all! I'm glad you're feeling a little better. Even remotely. I'll always be here if you need me."
You let out a long sigh as you slid across the back of the couch to rest your cheek against his shoulder. Relaxing yourself into her, trying to clear your mind of all that ails you. Which caused him to tense up but she wouldn't dare move now that you're so close. He didn't want to scare you away.
He only loosened up when you elbowed him, complaining she was to stiff. Apologizing briefly for the discomfort.
The both of you stayed there for a while. Enjoying one another's presence.
Headcanons;
She's a listening type. Let's you vent and express your feelings openly and sympathizes with them. He doesn't view thoughts or feelings as evil. It's okay if you're a little wild or even crude during your vents. She'll still view you the same.
Willing to bend over backwards to brighten your day, not out of obligation, but because it makes them sad to see you upset.
Is it a surprise to say he loves quality time? He was taught being there was one of the best things you can do for both yourself and others. It's okay if you came up short, you still showed up and tried.
She's more then willing to adapt to your love languages. Physical touch? Scoot closer. Gift giving? Her treat. Words of affirmation? You'll be here a while. She doesn't mind, so long as you're happy.
Very forgiving to a fault. Even if you were the type to lash out, given time, he could find it in himself to forgive you. And even then, he doesn't want you hurt or sad. You're important to him.
It doesn't matter what's upsetting you to her, you're frustrated and thats reason enough. There's nothing to be ashamed about around Elliot. She will love and care for you either way.
If anything, I'd say Elliot would like a spitfire. Keeps things interesting. Can't have a dull moment if your partners got more emotions than a storm cloud. She's into it. That and his life is lived rather quickly. Best to have someone honest with their feelings.
Understands the pressures of life and wants to make you feel as secure in yourself and your feelings as possible.
Your recent writing was beautiful and I really enjoyed it, would love to see you do something with 1x1x1x1 or elliot in the future. Keep up the good work ^_^
AH- thank youu!! 💞 it was really nerve wracking but I appreciate all the positive feedback I've been getting- you've all been very sweet and welcoming! Thank you for taking the time to read my silly post!
I'll keep that suggestion in mind.... >:3c
Oh! Um- if you have any specific ideas for 1x or Elliot I'd love to hear them!
Minecraft ARGs - Searching/Destroying a World that doesn't Exist, Footage from an Afterlife, M4TCHB0X, etc :J
Other things when I get the nerve..... These are ones I'll actively write for- but feel free to ask if you want me to do a specific fandom! Roblox or otherwise-
