Timothy McCool - Heart Like a Beam of Light, 2025
An audio version of an essay written by Timothy McCool from Issue 7.1 of un Magazine, a Melbourne based art publication. McCool is based in Pittsburg, Philadelphia, and is a recent Graduate from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. McCool’s piece, 'Post Irony', talks about the meaning of the image, the meaning of the term ‘artist’ and the projection of the ‘artist’ (this is done through looking at celebrities like Lana Del Rey, Beyonce and Bono).

Issue 7.1 looks at ‘research’ and art as research - other pieces include 'The University in the Age of Witchcraft' by Lauren Bliss and a piece by Thomas Jeppe called 'The Importance of Being Earnest While Conducting Nonsense Research as Strategic Credibility Mongering: A Defense'.
This piece was read by Louise Bennett and produced by Sarah Werkmeister. No Brow on Facebook. No Brow on Twitter.
