I (somewhat) ship Glinda x Boq, not because I see Boq as Glinda’s white knight or anything like that, but because it explores Glinda’s prejudice and obsession with publicity. Every time Boq approaches Glinda, she doesn’t even consider him as an option in the dating pool BECAUSE he’s a Munchkin, BECAUSE he’s working class, BECAUSE he’s not Fiyero, a prince. We have no idea if she would like Boq if it weren’t for her obsession with appearance, and I think it’s an interesting dynamic to explore in breaking Glinda’s prejudice.
