@badlibbing submitted: Who is this baby child emerging from a papery egg case? I tried to get the camera to focus but this guy was just too smol. Finger for scale. Found inside, on a door, in northeast Texas.
I’d need to see the case to tell you which species it is! If it’s a household casebearer aka plaster bagworm, the case will look like it’s made of tiny bits of sand. If it’s a case-bearing clothes moth, the case will look like it’s made mostly of little fibers. The cases are also different shapes depending on species. But either way it’s a moth caterpillar!
