I've been yapping about this one to my friends ngl

The symbols are soooo good! The bird trapped so clearly in Ash's body? Already amazing. But then across the scales of the snake there are still birds, which suggests that even the snake disguise is not perfect, it still reflects the avian instincts that peek through.... and the way that the snake completely engulfs Ash. Hes smothered. *Trapped.*

And the colourrrrsssss

I love black mambas. And this one looks A MA ZING. It looks so protective of Ash. It has such pretty blue. And ough I dont know if you just added stars because they fit but the snake, the symbol of Soot, having stars in its mouth, the symbol of Prime, Lmanburgs goddess? Chefs kiss

This is so silly but I like to think that sometimes Wilbur forgets to make his eyes slits. It’s mention in I think chapter 1 that he’s a bird that can do both but whenever I’m spinning him around in my brain I imagine whenever he’s surprised or maybe during that drunk / tipsy scene he was just… round eyed. A normal little dude.

I then also imagine that techno researches snake hybrids and notices this unexplainable difference. He just narrows his eyes for a while. Maybe mentions it to Phil maybe not.

I mean… who would lie about such a thing? Everyone knows Wilbur’s a snake hybrid so it’s probably just a quirk :)

And then whenever the big reveal comes he’s just :O because it clicks into place. Maybe he claims he knew all along when he really didn’t. Just to get on Phil’s nerves.

The thing is, Ash rolls deception 20 on practically every scene- but he's rolling with an advantage

Advantage of, who would lie about something like that? For what purpose? Aaaaand.... the fact that there is another "snake hybrid" who seems the same- Quackity also has rounded pupils lmao

Plus, it's not exactly the peak of etiquette to gaze into another nobles eyes so most people do not even notice haha

Not me finally finishing a fanart piece of tinvim and realising that I COMPLETELY misinterpreted Wilbur's wings! This is a tragedy! I guess there is now a fanon Wilbur Ash with huge, brown wings, plotting in his room whilst Philza's crows are attempting to spy on him through the window. I imagine his wings subconciously would try to wrap around him to protect him during an anxiety inducing political drama moment, but couldn't do so against the binder:( My guy needs a hug asap!

On another note, I wanted to say that your work inspires me so much! Writing AND drawing in different styles, you're iconic for that, and I get a boost of motivation seeing you pop up in my feed or receiving an email from ao3.

New No Venom chapter is once again kicking my ass so instead I'll come here to ramble and offer some canons to No Venom universe in hopes of reigniting my writing juices

Wilbur Ash went through four different foster families. None of them could offer him stability and help he needed and one was actively abusive! It ended badly for them when Wilbur snapped :)

On that note, Ash was a nightmare child :D He was an understimulated elytrian with no help for his instincts. Elytrians are much stronger than most hybrids. Wilbur could pick small adults as a child for example. He could also throw himself at an adult with his claws and solve his problems in different way...

Gods of No Venom! In my mind, the pantheon acts as a big family! Lady Death is the oldest and acts as the eldest sister, including having to scold other gods when they act too unruly 😀 XD is the middle child with anger issues and has to be scruffed from time to time. Prime may not be the youngest but they sure treat her like that!

Also, Prime was born from stars 🌟

Philza has black claws naturally but he still paints them. It's a difference between matte and the sheen of it! Maybeee even has gem nail polish. Shiny!

Wilbur Ash breved small amounts of potion of regeneration for himself to keep at all times. It was super useful during his stage days- any minor injury was gone and he had more energy for rehearsals! He misses having the potions at hand now.
