So i did some thinking about the tiny circus AU because well... I want cute little handheld clowns.

So anyway. This is another "experiment went wrong" scenario with Doctor kind of. Uncharacteristically screwing up an experiment.

Pierrot insists on taking his family with him to MC because he trusts MC.

MC is. Obviously very confused but still accepts the weird tiny circus members into their home. They're also very impressed they even got to the apartment safely. As tiny as they were, they could have been easily scooped up by a bird of prey or something.

Anyway, now MC has five weird little clowns in their apartment. Being around them constantly MC definitely realizes there's something else a bit off about them. Besides the whole being tiny thing.

Pierrot and Harlequin basically try to spend the most time around MC. This results in fighting and despite them being very tiny, it's too risky for MC to intervene and they generally prefer to let Jester and Doctor and Ticket Taker handle things, especially if blood starts flying everywhere

Tiny circus AU stuff.

Yes, Pierrot and Harlequin are guilty of stealing things from you for the sake of their own personal collections. ...and often they end up stealing from each other and you hear them fighting under your bed sometimes. You have to remind them that some people have to go to sleep because they have to wake up in the morning for an early shift at work. Thankfully this usually works to stop their fighting.

...they are not the only thieves though. Without his own lab equipment, Doctor has had to improvise, finding random little things around the apartment to experiment with. Maybe it's a good idea to just buy him a bunch of random junk to break so he stops breaking YOUR stuff for parts.

Okay to make up for the self indulgent nonsense, here's more tiny circus rambling.

You still have yet to see them out of their costumes. Don't they get tired of wearing the same thing? And also... what do they look like? Unfortunately it doesn't take long for them to notice that you're trying to take their costumes off, so even Pierrot who always finds time to cling to you is quick to jump up and run away when he realizes you're trying to take his hat. You've managed to steal his hat once, but didn't get a look because the others swooped in rather quickly to scoop up the hatless Pierrot before you could even catch a glimpse.

Jester in particular has been watching you like a hawk. There's been a weird pain in your fingers when you wake up... You hope the pain is just from overworking and not from an angry little clown.

Okay. Gonna think about tiny circus a little bit.

MC picking them up.

Pierrot loves to be picked up. In fact, the hard part is putting him down. He won't let go. He has such a strong grip. You need to get to work but your tiny circus creature doesn't want you to leave.

Harlequin is genuinely like a cat. Pick him up when he specifically asks for it. Otherwise he's not happy about it. (This headcanon brought to you by a cat who adores me but only cuddles on her time. She invades your personal space, not you invading hers.)

Ticket Taker will accept being carried , but really, it's completely unnecessary.

Jester: Do. Not. Touch. Last time you picked him up he said something so mind boggling that you ended up having an existential crisis at work.

Doctor doesn't necessarily mind. Being small is a fascinating and new sensation. New experiences satisfy the curiosity.

Tiny circus AU rambling because I need something cute.

MC is sick and one of those stubborn people who's like "I always gotta be productive."

They are not letting their size get in the way of them stopping you from doing things. You need rest.

Pierrot scrambles all over the kitchen making soup for you. Naturally with everything being gigantic by comparison, he's making a huge mess but he's trying his best. Honestly Ticket Taker is doing his best to keep up with all the mess.

Doctor is monitoring your condition because, well, obviously, Doctor always knows what's best.

Harlequin and Jester tend to be your little escorts every time you get out of bed for whatever reason. Yes, Harlequin offers to even join you in the bathroom because that's just how he is. That's why Jester is there, to stop Harlequin from just casually sneaking in anyway.

When you are just resting though and you're not particularly hungry, you just kinda... have an entire pile of these tiny circus weirdos on you (minus Jester, he just sits nearby). Not sure why they're not worried about it being potentially contagious.

Tiny circus thoughts because of reasons.

After a lot of back and forth with them because they seem to be particular about you getting too close too often, youre finally able to work something out as far as getting their measurements so you can make them little outfits. As long as they are fully covered, you get to go ham.

Pierrot is always the most excited to try on a new outfit. He doesn't seem to care what you make for him. He is so cute in the many different tiny kigurumis you've made for him.

Harlequin complains a bit but he still mostly wears whatever you make. He's grateful to have different clothes because man it's a pain to wear the same thing every day. Especially because they're not even performing since, yknow, the whole tiny thing. Why should he be in costume all the time? Ugh.

Ticket Taker is very particular about what he wears. If you even think about making him wear something cute like you do with Pierrot and Harlequin, you feel him staring daggers at you.

Jester prefers more elegance and flare to his costumes. You need to work extra hard on his outfits, honestly.

While Doctor doesn't necessarily show the enthusiasm that Pierrot does, he doesn't seem to MIND being in cute outfits. The important part is practicality. As long as it doesn't get in the way of him doing experiments, he will wear whatever you give him.

Tiny circus shenanigans.

Sometimes, getting a hitchhiker is inevitable.

Pierrot is the one you have to be wary of the most. He will hide anywhere on your person. As long as he gets to be near you, he is happy. You don't even necessarily notice him the whole day you're at work. Which is wild because you definitely know he still has those little bells on his hat and you SHOULD hear little jingles when he moves. But you just don't hear it.

Harlequin is also a problem. Moreso than Pierrot, really. He is causing problems on purpose, and he can move out of sight rather quickly. Good luck trying to catch him without looking like a complete fool.

Ticket Taker doesn't hitchhike often. Honestly he and Jester tend to appear when they realize Harlequin has tagged along with you. They don't actually intervene unless it genuinely seems like Harlequin is in danger of being spotted.

That being said, Jester in particular is fond of your desperate attempts to capture Harlequin, especially when it ends up with you falling on your face.

You're pretty sure Doctor has made you into a thief. Every time he joins you for whatever reason, you suddenly have some new possessions when you come back home. Doctor tells you that he'll be using that later. You don't question the man of science. He's the reason they're tiny after all. Just. Leave him be. Pretend you have no idea why other people's stuff has found its way into your apartment.
