This is the same cup of tomato plants, first photo was taken on the 28th of January, and the second on the 17th of February. It really grew that much in the span of 20 days! In February! I'm a bit stunned, I don't remember having this kind of fast progress in the past. I'm suspicious, what is going on this year. Is this just because I put aluminum foil to reflect sunlight back at them? I'm about to transplant them because they can't all fit in here!

Baby Plant update!

Basil:

Adorable, but refuses to grow true leaves. Not enough light probably.

Broccoli:

Growing true leaves! But I might have been wrong about the broccoli part, this could be kale (spiky leaves).

Dwarf tomatoes/peppers

Slowly getting there, all of them started true leaves :)

Illegal tomatoes:

All doing great, even the ones with their roots snapped! They were big enough to survive it.

So I work in a plant biology lab working on transgenic plants. I was transplanting these tiny things the other day. Unfortunately they probably won’t live, because they’re albino, but we’ll give it a shot.
