Greetings, Papa. Ignore the mess that is leftover makeup and popcorn!

“Hold still!”

That statement had been uttered… what?  Five times in the past ten minutes?  Which averaged once every two minutes… and they had only just started.

Michiru frowned.  She was an artist at work and her canvas kept moving.  Blinking, fidgeting and did Michiru even see a pout? 

“Honestly, ‘Ruka.  You were the one who signed up for this and stated you were curious to enter into my world of hobbies.  Now-“

The thin makeup brush that was used for contouring was held up.  In her hand was an eyeshadow palette with small eyeshadow pots placed in the circular slots.  She sat on Haruka’s legs in her lap to keep the girl from squirming any more.  “Now, being blessed with such lovely blue eyes and golden locks it gives you such a range of options for eyeshadow color.  I could do something subtle, classy.  ‘Natural’ as they would call it.  Or something far more dramatic.  With more pop-“  Her fingers spread wide at that. “-to really bring out those eyes!  Ah… I know.  Never mind.  Let’s have fun tonight.  Girl’s night, yes?”

A bit of stray sea salt was removed from Haruka’s hairline.  Masks.  Homemade masks they had worn.  And to be this girly sleep over all the more exciting and easier for Haruka Michiru had literally opened her wall to reveal her television across the room from her bed and had handed Haruka the remote.  Pick a movie she had said.  And she had not said a word about what the choice had been.  Popcorn and chocolate candies had been placed between them as well as beverages of choice.  In fact, a mini fridge had been pulled into Michiru’s room and set up near her bed…  They did not have to leave her room! 

“I am going to have a nice, bright lime green right here at the tear duct…  Then I will blend it to a peacock blue to the middle of your eyelid…  The outer eye will have an ocean blue… and I will use a… frosted blue for the brow bone.  And your lower eyelid I will blend it with the ocean blue and with a touch of black!”

She beamed.  It was going to look lovely on Haruka!

Sweets for the Sweets

“’Ruka!!”

A car va-roomed by.  Michiru froze; her lips puckering as chills raced down her spine and spread through her limbs.  Standing a little too close to the edge of the sidewalk.  Or more like the car was driving a little too close to the sidewalk!  And it had the audacity to drive by just as Michiru was calling out for her friend! Her face eased into an expression of annoyance that melted away into exasperation.  A hand stole to her hip as her body angled itself into the perfect model of one who was waiting and beginning to not want to wait any longer. 

Of course, it had been her idea for the two of them to take a trip into the city.  There were… ‘Ruka centered distractions everywhere.  Arcades, comic shops, sweet shops, food shops, hobby shops…  All the sorts of shops that Michiru had passed dozens of times and had hardly looked in to.  Well, okay, that was a lie.  Hanging from a handle in hand was a pink, flowery box covered in happy little animals and sweets.  Because in this box was sweets that she had picked out and in more earnest than she had originally intended.  The arcade had been… peeked in to more than once… only twice at the most! (Which was a lie.  Michiru had ventured into the arcade and had dared to play the games every now and then but fled when anyone gave her too long of a glance)  The hobby shop had great deals on paints and brushes every so often!  The art shops were of course shops she frequented as well as the music stores and the little cafes and coffee shops and the udon stands and… and….

Really, she should not be so impatient.  It was not as if the two of them had much of anything planned for this ‘hang out session’.  It was one of those on the whim decisions to come down here.  And Michiru had decided to indulge herself as well as ‘Ruka with candies and delicious breads and mochi ice cream!  The breads and ice cream had not yet been purchased…  Which may have explained her impatience (but the impatience was of a teasing manner!  Honest!).  For all Michiru knew, ‘Ruka may come up with another idea and before she knew it she would be swept away into a whole new impromptu adventure!

It was relaxing… oddly enough… to know that for once she was not on a schedule she had set for herself.  Today had been wiped clean on her calendar.  

Holding the box of sweets between two hands, Michiru tilted her head back to look up at the signs posted on the tops of the multi-story buildings.  She spun in a slow circle in place, taking in all the sights there was.  And for fun, she tried to take in the city with a fresh set of eyes.  ‘Ruka was not from here… so how wondrous Tokyo must have been to her!  She had been to so many cities Michiru found that she enjoyed the cities that still retained that old world feel to them.  The remnants of their history everywhere.  Not that Tokyo was bad or did not have its fair share.  Just… the city was advancing at such an accelerated pace even this thirteen year old could not always keep up!

"Geh. You're better off asking someone like Ami-chan, or even Luna for wise words. I'm not the best at advice, honestly. I tend to just blurt out my opinion and then don't usually stick around to see the outcome."

Time is Ticking

3 hours had passed since Michiru had opted to spend the afternoon with her younger self. Where could they be?, Would they be alright?. She had told Michiru she would just simply both of them instead of riding that silly old and of course very insecure scooter. Insecure.. she had to laugh at her own remark, she couldnt speak about security when she drove above the 300 km/hour at least twice a week back at the pits.

Hotaru had been doing her homework for the past half hour after she was..introduced on who would be paying them a visit. She wasnt as socked or surprised as Haruka was in the beginning, she actually seemed very excited about the news of having a little version of Haruka papa to play with her all night long!. 

The older Tenoh felt the need to dress in her best attire to introduce herself properly and of course her little household to her younger self. Maybe because she felt jealous but mostly due to give a proper first realistic and astonishing impression of what her younger version could expect from her future life. Would she like it?, would she be proud of what she had become?..she wanted to portray the best version of her so when the time came to be a warrior..she would make a good choice instead of running away as she intended to do for so many years. If she at least had that small amount of power during the present time, she could at least give the kiddo a little taste of what the rewards would be. If only that would help little Haruka to deal with whatever was to come in her nearby future...

It was a slumber party, so she needed to dress for the occasion, whatever Michiru's plan was. Haruka browsed across her double built in closet, taking out a pair of black cotton tight shorts and a black tight shirt that flaunted  two red bulls facing against each other, the word TENOH in the back of the shirt just below a little sign of needlework that read "X Fighters".

She slipped out of her casual attire just to change into this more comfortable clothes. Deep emeralds double checked her reflection on the nearest mirror just before closing the doors of her closet, exiting her bedroom.

Her tiny white Razr was being played against her hands as she went downstairs to prepare the living room for their Xbox. "..If she's a bit like me she would definitely love these ones..." she muttered to herself while taking out three movies that lingered on her PS3 Collection: Need for Speed, Rock Band III and Mortal Kombat. This was payback for Michiru's date with her younger self, it was a win/win situation, because she hated when she would't pay any attention to her because she was too immersed on her games and of course somewhere along their game play, she would be able to steal a kiss or two from Michiru especially when she pretended to be a great Rock star on Rock band.

Haruka moved inside the kitchen just to make some decent snacks for the night ahead, her eyes gazing from time to time towards her cellphone, waiting for Michiru's message that eithe she was coming home or that she needed to picked up. But mostly, she missed her voice already.

A Message of Somewhat Importance

To my Tiny Tenoh Haruka:

* Through reading other people's headcanons, I saw an idea in particular that stood out.  Artemis/Luna for Minako/Usagi and the other girls (respectively) were their guardians.  The ones to aid in their awakening. But both in the anime and very much so more in the manga it was left vague as to how it happened with Haruka and Michiru.  In the anime (cannot recall in the manga but I think fandom accepted?) Michiru was the first to awaken out of the two. And who was the one to help guide her along the way?

*Why, another senshi!  Who would that be considering Haruka/Michiru are the older girls out of the bunch? Pluto. With gentle nudgings through her dreams (Michiru being like Rei and the more 'intuitive' one) to help encourage the awakening of memories and their abilities.

* I headcanon'ed and being a bit of a drama lover (artist/writer. HELLO) I always suspected that Michiru was not always so cold or distant.  Anti-social?  Yes.  It would fit along with her personality.  But the cold/distance I believe/suspect happened because of unfortunate events as well as the realization of who she was, what her purpose was as well as the sacrifices she would inevitably have to make.  Haruka and Michiru lived alone which was suspicious considering the Inner Senshi (minus Makoto) all had family.

*AU idea is that Michiru lost her mother at a young age (as already been established).  Having met Haruka, it begins the stirrings of her memories which have already somewhat started to happen but to any noticeable, great degree which attracts Pluto.  During a trip overseas or while studying abroad, much like what happened with Minako, an event happens that requires Pluto to step in and give her her transformation pen. Young Sailor Neptune kicks some ass and there we go!  

* She wakes up to find her talisman which helps with her emerging memories.  How this fits in with Haruka and what happens with Haruka and her awakening we can figure that out (because that's the fun part!).  However, once the 'AWESOME WE'RE CRIME FIGHTERS!!' wears off and the realization of the truth sets in that whole feeling of awesome turns into the understanding that they're... stuck.  There is not much hope for the future they planned.  (This was from another headcanon someone had where they wondered if any of the senshis were bitter that they were destined to be 'slaves/soldiers' no matter what they did) They are what they are and I would say probably out of all the senshi they regained their memories first and came to the conclusion that this has all happened before and it's been a repeating cycle.  

* To top it off, with all these baddies and probably sections of the baddies running about (I see Haruka and Michiru like Minako was at first - they're more focused internationally than local but they also awaken first before it's centered on Tokyo) Michiru's father becomes a target and dies (I'd guesstimate the age 15? A year before they meet the Inner Senshi).  Because someone figures out her identity or because of his status will be figured out.  It then hits home for her that not only is she alone but being with anyone makes them a target.  It reinforces some of her more 'negative' traits as well as helps with that outside of everything feeling.  They are the first line of defense for the Princess.  They are the ones more in seclusion.  That loneliness.

* Add to it people wonder if Neptune/Uranus had a relationship or not in the past.  It's never stated and some people think it's exclusive for this lifetime but whether or not it's happened before it can also install more... feelings of bitterness? It would also help with how they both react to Usagi initially.  I think (correct me if I'm wrong I need to reread the mangas!) they were more cold towards her in the anime.  Haruka was flirty.  Hahaha.  Go figure.  But it took some convincing for them to respect her.  I'm not sure if the respect comes from them being bound by honor or real respect...

* But! This helps answer some questions.  How the two of them have... a lot of money.  Their somewhat unhealthy attachment towards each other (but I still think they're the best couple in Sailor Moon/dependency.  Overall attitudes/viewpoints/development.  I mean... we don't get to see their side so much!

I have other ideas floating about but they're more story/singular based. That was... a majority of what I've thought of.  Chances are I forgot some things. ^__^;

Fancy parties weren't Chris's forte.

There'd been a series of performances by some upcoming young musicians, and now there was a reception afterwards for people to socialize with said musicians. Division 2 had been particularly interested in a young singer, and they'd sent Chris and a few others to check her out. So now Chris was at a fancy party. She hated this.

Well, she hadn't hated the performances (even if the act of seeing a concert was unpleasantly familiar to her), but this party! It was tortute to have to try and social with all these strangers, and for most of the time she'd been quieter than usual. One of her associates had noticed, and sent her to the buffet to get some food so she could avoid he socialization a little.

By this point in the party, the buffet had been mostly cleared out. Chris drifted along it, frowning at the poor selection. What could she get...? She found herself drifting towards the desert section, and remembered seeing other people at the party with small slices on plates. That'd do. And hey, there was even a single little slice yet. Encouraged, Chris reached for it-

-only for someone else to snatch it up.

"Hey..." she began, glaring at the perpetrator. "That was mine."

Haruka didn't usually have business in Ikebukuro - didn't usually have business, period, she just shuffled around where her agent said - but today a magazine reporter'd scheduled an interview close by their HQ since the deadline was soon. It'd gone quickly, and Haruka had some time to kill before her ride showed up (she hated not providing her own transportation.)

So rather than wait around and be bored out of her mind, she scooted out of the lobby to a) grab a snack and b) see the sights. Which ended up in her getting promptly lost.

"Hey, hey." Haruka scratched her head, glancing about the busy street: looking, for all the world, like a lost teenage boy. She met the eyes of everyone passing her by, hoping someone'd pity the newcomer. "I should've dropped crumbs from my crepe or something."

Another girl had noticed her? If Haruka'd been wearing a hat, she would have doffed it. As things stood, she simply swept into a bow.

"Who might I have the pleasure of addressing?" she asked the newcomer, grinning to herself at her own fanciness. "It's not every day such a cute kitten stops by!"
