@tinycanuck I thought of you when I realized this 

I’m going over transcripts of a cross examination one of our male litigators conducted. I lost track of how many times he said “like” during this examination. 

I’ve watched him in motions court too; when he starts going off-script, he says “like” “and like” “so like” constantly 

And all I can think of is how fast we, as female lawyers, would have been railed on if we had such bad habits

What is the general consensus on a book series? If...

I think general consensus is still that the book you send to a person will still involve a consideration of their own interests too (particularly since lots of have multiple favourite books in different genres).

The “whats your favourite book” question exists solely to ensure I’m not linking up 2 people who obviously love the same book (where’s the fun in that!?) 

If the first book in a series can stand alone as a good book, I’d say it’s fair game.

Brienne doesn’t actually die, though. She lures Jamie somewhere after the almost-hanging. So not only does this screw up her storyline, presumably, it screws up whatever is to become of Jamie, too. Pissed. So pissed.

I should have put 'die' in inverted commas, haha. But yes, they've fucked up...

Sounds like this dude is seriously afraid of lady parts. And women in general. It’s no wonder he’s very single. Gross.

Ah ha ha ha. So true. He claims he's single because he's "very picky" and "likes to take this time." I'm pretty sure it's because prolonged exposure to him makes women go "Thanks, but no thanks."
