Given the amount of situations him and his brothers often found themselves in, it was anyone’s guess WHAT the mistake entailed. A small look of curiosity adorned the red-sliders features. Hoping that whatever the mistake was that the other had made that it wasn’t something major or grand in scale.

“ lately , i think i rubbed off on him too much . ” ol’ zhu grumbles , lacking any sincere bite to his quip . there’s a part of him that finds it amusing ; a sort of “ ha ! gotcha! ” moment between two rowdy youths . still another that finds it aggravating . seems all those times dasheng would harshly tug at his ear or threaten him with the cudgel weren’t always unwarranted--
“ tch , then again-- maybe that lil’ shit rubbed off on me too . ” the pig yaoguai laughs a little . he certainly has changed . and if that little delivery boy he caters to so much means anything , it’s clear what parts of the boar’s extended life still stick like a stubborn stain .
“ . . . i feel like he’s avoiding me . ” he mumbles this , mostly to himself . he only wanted to see the boy-- his boy , mind you . of all the wild youths in all of the city , he just had to choose HIS . “ or maybe not . i dunno what he’s thinking . maybe he doesn’t care . not that i blame him-- ”
he sighs , pinching the bridge of his long snout , biting down the juvenile bitter taste in his stomach . it was no mystery that they didn’t often see eye to eye ; they were both so stubborn and spiteful-- one always taking any opportunity to put the other down . at least now the ex-marshal has enough humility to admit to who elder brother would prefer to see again .
