The mini village on my desk! It consists of a Sylvanian Families treehouse, a Lil Woodzeez diner, and a couple of Tinyly playsets, and it's where my Sylvanian size toys hang out.
I gave everything a dusting before taking these photos. I've been meaning to make dust covers for the buildings from clear vinyl because I kinda can't keep up... We'll see how that goes.
Molinta returns for the temporary management of The Second Spell, and she's accompanied by her new understudy, Anouk.
Molinta has a passion for collecting and recounting fairy tales and folklore. Anouk has the ability to converse with ghosts and spirits. Together, they are a captivating and enthralling storytelling duo.
So Iāve been really into 1/12 scale toys lately... or rather, stylized toys that can use 1/12 scale accessories. And what got the ball rolling, was when I discovered a line of figures called Tinyly by French company Djeco:
Poppy and Nouky, Coco and Minico
So I found these little doll necklaces and decided I wanted to buy them as dolls-for-my-dolls to celebrate getting out of my doll depression after finally getting my favorite dolls back from across the globe (long story). Hereās my first Pullips, Monster and Kalista, posing with their new toys.
I ended up being so incredibly charmed by the little dolls that I ended up going back to the store to pick up a couple of the full-size dolls.
Poppy and Coco, and their little companions Nouky and Minico. While theyāre not super poseable or anything, I love their sweet, simple features and how nicely they are painted. I have decided to call this type of toyĀ āfigure dollsā.
Luz and her tiny companion Light joined my little collection shortly afterwards. Sheās the full size version of the mini doll I gave Kalista.
And lastly, here is a playset containing a little room and a couple of accessories along with the doll and her companion: Milou and Loulou. I think Milou is supposed to be a veterinarian, but Iām making her a full-blown doctor.
I was visiting my parents at the moment, and discovered that Tinyly dolls were a good fit for the little accessories I had in storage there. Milou is holding Pinky:St accessories, and Luzās balloons are Re-ment, iirc.
And yes, this is exactly what caused my interest in certain other toys in this size to spark up again... as I plan to cover in future posts here.
Here are some more pictures of Luz from when I took her with me on outings near my childhood home.
