Did you know that in America its customary to tip the wait staff? I'm sure you knew that, but did you know that the bussers, host, bartenders, to-go people, and people in the back like expo and food runners only make as much hourly as the servers do? Usually the servers have to give them a part of the their tip. Then, that share of tip gets split into smaller parts depending on how many people are working.
I'm not going to give an opinion on tipping in America, but people are holding their ground about their beliefs and times might be a changing. For now though, tip your goddamn wait staff.
