Bro..what is with tumblr and filling the tag of a character they dont fucking like??

Do you assholes realize that people actually like these characters?? Why is it sooo fucking hard to not tag a character you hate??

Im in specific tags for art, fics and headcanons etc. Not people listing eeevery little bad thing theyve done since theyre debut, not list how much this character sucks and deserves to be hated by everyone or die or whatever fucked up thing you mfs wanna come up with.

Fucks sake.

Yall haaate when i mention not to tag a character you hate, even though its basic god damn knowledge.

Obviously I dont give a shit if its just critical thinking, mentioning ways this character could be improved a little etc but to straight up hate and wish bad things on these characters people like is fucking crazy. Get youre shit together.

So, I woke up this morning with a shitty review in my inbox, and I have something to say. If your review starts with a few paltry words saying you like my story, but is followed by two paragraphs shitting all over the premise, news flash: you don't like my stories.

I work very hard on my writing. Double Whammy took me months to write, because I write multiple drafts and have a job and a life to tend to. It's HARD. Fanfiction writers produce content for you FOR FUCKING FREE, and I can't speak for other writers, but when I get reviews telling me that my story is wrong compared to canon, or that my work is "dog shite", it makes me question why I bother.

And for those of you who silently read and don't bother leaving a comment, this is what we're getting instead.

Please review. Please let writers know what you like. It's literally the only payment we get.

I would like to apologise to everyone who I ever interacted with before two years ago (and most of the people since). I truly hate who I used to be, and while I'm nowhere near to being who I wish I was, I do believe I've greatly improved. Largely in part to the wonderful people around me. So yes, I'm sorry for who I was, and if ever I infringe upon you, please let me know and I'll try to do better.

you know how people shit on artists for wanting to do art for a living and tell them they should do work for free and all sorts of other bullshit?

well it's probably because they don't see the times when an artist nearly quits art because they feel so awful about their own art and go long periods of time without drawing because they don't think their art is good enough to sell, shit like that

they think it's this simple thing someone can learn but really it can fuckin break you. but like, no one would do that shit to other professions. a student in a nursing class en route to become a doctor might be sitting at their desk having a breakdown over homework and they eventually work past it and become a doctor. and no one tells them they should do their work for free or for exposure.

so why is it when an artist is doing the same thing over their own artwork, it's suddenly okay? god.

It's hard to imagine that there are people out there that don't over think and pick apart every little fucking thing. They don't let worry ruin beautiful things. There are people that can just go with the flow, and accept life as it happens. .....how?
