Minnesota state troopers admit deflating tires during protests

Social media videos emerged that appear to show law enforcement officers slashing tires as protesters gathered in Minneapolis.

 The state's Department of Public Safety (DPS) confirmed the action, CBS Minnesota reports, after social media videos emerged of officers appearing to slash tires in parking lots amid the demonstrations.

The department said troopers deflated tires to keep the vehicles from being used in attacks against law enforcement or protesters and for the vehicles to be towed if a collection of evidence was necessary. According to DPS, it was only done in certain situations.

Photos and videos were posted showing the damage done to tires. Jeff Wagner, a local reporter who was covering the protests, shared pictures of cars with deflated tires in a Kmart parking lot.

Woman slashes tires of SUV that had a MAGA hat inside

An 18-year-old woman told police that she slashed the tires of Nick Dugas’s SUV after she saw a notoriously familiar red hat sitting inside.

He had a MAGA hat in his truck. So she slashed his tire

 Several months ago a woman was stabbed in my building. A few days ago a car in the parking lot had all of it’s tires slashed and one side was dented in and last night there was a fire in the warehouse next door.  I guess this is what happens when you live on the wrong side of the tracks in Whitewater.
