Okay so  hear me out. We have THIS POST and THIS POST and this post as well.

Here you have science fiction (Humans are weird/Earth is Space Australia)  fantasy (the fey are real weather we  will it or not) and the overlap of the two.

So what if,  what if what makes human weird, unstoppable juggernauts, denizens of Space  Australia, is that  WE CAN HANDLE THE FEY.

The fey are real, Tir na nOg extends into  space and other worlds.

Alien: Human Sam why did you walk around that cluster of fungal growth?
