Joining the Rouxls theorists with this one: even if he isn’t a twist reveal character he has all the makings of one.
It is a bit long so there’s a tldr at the end
He consistently seeks out the most powerful boss of each chapter. They’ve all rejected him thus far, but what happens if one of them accepts him? What if they give him the power he desires?
And now things get spoiled so that’s under the cut.
Speaking of powers and abilities, he consistently has broken the rules of the universe to bring powerful things into battle or just for the joke. But outside of the joke? The crown he puts on K.round? The Rules Card? The hands in the text box? His teleportation? Apply them to any other character and they’re a legitimate threat. The only reason Rouxls isn’t is because he’s a joke character for now. He’s also mimicked Lancers ability to put himself in your inventory, which isn’t as intimidating when Lancer does it, but with Rouxls? It’s another thing on the list of powers, that I remember off the top of my head.
On the topic of going after the bosses of each chapter: we don’t know how he finds them. He just showed up in King Spade’s life, then in Queen’s, then Elnino and Lanina’s, and Tenna’s. He seeks out the next boss after rejection but we know nothing about his thought process. And he consistently is able to get close to them physically, even at the height of their power. With that teleportation and however else he gets close to them? He probably could’ve killed every boss by now if he wasn’t so desperate for their approval. And in chapter three he demonstrated the ability to transport others as well.
The only thing that keeps Rouxls from posing a genuine threat? The jokes, and Lancer. And if something happens to Lancer I’ll bet the jokes will go away fast. If the jokes are genuine and not intentional. Y’know who else is only held back by jokes and people he cares about? Sans.
Actually they’re weirdly similar: Sans also demonstrated huge abilities as jokes. Thing is, he did that before revealing he knew what he was doing. Since Deltarune isn’t fully out yet, there’s a chance Rouxls has a reveal lined up.
I do love a boyfailure but at this point he’s so bad at everything I’m starting to think he wants people to think he’s incompetent.
Or he’s just really unlucky
Tl:Dr: Even if he stays a joke for the whole game, Rouxls is a hidden powerhouse. He has the Deltarune equivalent of the Toon Force. Even if he isn’t the knight he’s someone to watch out for until the game is done.
(Also I was so excited to write this I didn’t check the wiki so I might’ve just gotten everything wrong)
Every damn time I start thinking about Kris playing the piano in the dark world. I don’t have the right words but
How happy they must’ve been when they first played in the light world. Surrounded by a happy family, their friends, and fully in control of their actions. People enjoying their playing and that act of playing being tied to them and only them, and all parties involved know that.
Everyone smiling, laughing, where did it all go so wrong? Was there somewhere they could’ve done something?
And now here they are. Playing the piano again. In a world they still don’t fully understand, guided by a figure who, even if vaguely, resembles one of the many people who were probably there when they were first playing. But this guide just wasn’t there for the first performances.
And yes, the people around them might be enjoying their playing. But it’s such a bastardization of the original moment, because now that act of playing isn’t just associated with Kris to everyone involved. There’s such a constant weight on their shoulders now as opposed to when they used to play. And they can’t even fully explain that in the moment. They just have to keep playing.
And things were so happy before, but now their friend is missing, their parents are all but actively fighting, they’re probably more aware of all of that now, and everything else and it’s just
Playing that piano should be a happy moment but it’s so. Damn. Wrong.
Alrighty here’s my BIG sinners theory/headcanon. Remmick was a child in Celtic Ireland, went through that whole British thing, and came over to America on the immigrant ship. All that’s confirmed canon BUT here’s where my theory goes. Sinners has a good dosage of classic vampire lore (although nothing about Grace’s cross necklace or vampires crossing running rivers but I ranted about the first thing already) so I bet he came over in a casket, with dirt from his homeland. Big “celebration” on the ship (that’s canon) and I think he took his casket and new group, and took shelter with the Choctaw. Now this bit is baseless speculation: I think constant American attacks on the Choctaw destroyed his casket in the process, trapping him there.
That’s probably imo why he’s not in Ireland (funny, a reason he can’t ‘go back to where he came from’ caused by the people who claim not to want him there). I think time passed, he fell in love with someone from the tribe and either turned her and that was the breaking point, or the people he brought with him from the ship were getting picked off (Americans, again) and he got scared of being the last one. Because (correct me if I’m wrong, I’m not a Choctaw) I don’t think that they would just on-sight him because he’s a vampire.
Also he’s delusional not justified but as a second gen Jamaican immigrant on one side and Irish on the other I do feel for him
BIG ACE ATTORNEY DUAL DESTINIES SPOILER. JUST IN CASE YOU DIDN’T READ THE TAGS.
Anyways: Listen to the Phantom’s theme (his actual one not Fulbright’s). At around 1 minute and 37 seconds on the Spotify version, there’s seven distinct horn sounds. (Brass horn adjacent if I were to guess).
WHO ELSE HAS BRASS HORNS IN THEIR THEME. WHO’S MAIN THEME STARTS OUT WITH A BLAST OF BRASS TRUMPET NOISE.
ROBERT “BOBBY” FULBRIGHT.
PLEASE TELL ME I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THAT (further ranting in tags but heres a screenshot too)
a definition post! Because I was initially confused so in case anyone else is ever confused imma put a post out there to help ‘em. Even if there are other posts like this.
Prev tags means “previous tags”. In general, it is used to indicate that the tags on the original post or the previous reblog!
Purpose one:
As an example; the original post has a question in the tags like “#but has anyone else done this?”. Someone might reblog and make the first tag #but has anyone else done this? And the second tag “#<- prev tags” this indicates the tag the arrow is pointing at is taken from the previous post. So if they add a comment in the tags after that, you can tell what they are responding to. It could also be something like #<- prev you’re so right which is a combination of the two: indicating they are reacting to the tag to the left, and that tag is from the previous post.
Purpose two:
If the first tag on a reblog is something like “#prev tags are hilarious” or “#prev tags LMAOO” it is similar to the purpose above, indicating that they are reacting to the previous tags, just not showing you the tags on their own reblog.
Which leads us to these guys:
<- and -> (also sometimes just < or >)
These are used to indicate what tag another tag is talking about. For instance, something tagged as “#tw violence #<- not sure but just in case.” This shows the second tag is about the first tag!
Part three of the Gravity Falls Banana Man analysis
Again, the posts are long that's why the whole thing is behind a read more. All posts of this variety are tagged with #abananafalls
thanks again to @ra5pberry-jam for prompting this series!
Forget all your troubles and go with the flow Bill's proposal to Ford to join him, as well as Bill's outward vibe during the events.
Forget about whatever you may never know Mabel stuck in the bubble, and escaping with the resolve to leave behind her wish to sort of stagnate in time.
Like whether whatever you are doing is whatever you should Ford changing his attitude towards Stan
And whether anything you do is ever any good Stan's view of himself, finally seeing himself as being 'good for something' when his memory is wiped.
And then forget about banana when it stick in your throat The strategy of the memory gun: forget about everything, including Bill, (banana) when he enters Stan's mind (is stuck)
And when it make you wanna bellow, but you stuck in a choke Bill's realization, and reaching out to attack Stan (trying to 'bellow') but still not being able to leave.
And forget about the yellow from the beckoning man this and the lyric below: Bills death by the memory gun (he would be the yellow beckoning man). Stan and Ford effectively made a mock of his plan.
Who make you take another one and make a mock of your plan
Bungalay, bungalow
Make up your mind and tell me no Stanley regains his memory, (making up his mind) when pushing away Waddles (telling him no)

Musical break, the tune slows down with calm whistling in the background.
Well, it's nine o'clock, and it's getting dark

I've never left so early, and you may wonder why this whole section would be the twins leaving, falling asleep on the bus ride out (as shown in the Book of Bill)
Tomorrow morning on the plane
No banana make you go insane
Floating back to busy town
No banana make you want to frown This whole section would be Bill in the theraprism, going insane without Ford anyone to deify him, and Ford moving on without him (floating back)
Do you want a banana? (Do you want a banana)
Peel it down and go, mm-mm-mm-mm
Do you want a banana?
This banana for… you
So Elnina and Lanino’s names are kinda perfect outside of fandom stuff, from a meta perspective.
No spoilers because I’m just talking about the spelling and stuff, disclaimer and everything else below the cut because the post was getting long.
Disclaimer: I am not culturally Hispanic or Latin, and as far as I know not ethnically either. So I shouldn’t be taken as an authority on any of this. My perspective on this is heavily biased, as English is my first language, and I’m not fully fluent in Spanish yet. I’m also not very familiar with all the differences in the dialects of Spanish. (I know bits and pieces because before I deleted it bc ai, the app I used only has Spain Spanish, but I learned and am still learning bits of Mexican Spanish by watching streamers) I don’t want to spread misinformation or talk over anyone who’s actually fluent in Spanish so feel free to correct me. Yes this is just my opinion but my opinion can be wrong.
I will now proceed to over analyze something that was probably completely unintentional and not that deep.
I think it’s pretty neat that as a result of Lanino and Elnina’s names having the pronouns switched (‘la’ would be feminine and ‘el’ masculine, so it would normally be ‘el niño’ (the boy) and ‘la niña’ (the girl)) and the lack of ñ in their names, there’s a good distinction in verbally and digitally discussing them and discussing the weather phenomenon.
Like for example if you say, out loud, “yeah I think Elnina is cool.” You don’t have to preface the sentence with “from deltarune” because the wording is different in a way where it kinda sounds like you’re making a mistake so if someone doesn’t get it they’ll feel comfortable in asking you about it, and you can clear it up fast. I didn’t really describe it that well but it’s like a preemptive disclaimer? Like iykyk but you can ask if you don’t.
And if you write that out online it’s easy for someone to look up what you mean because it’s just one word! So it combats some of the knee jerk reactions that can happen online (obviously it won’t stop all of them but y’know)
Another thing on the verbal disclaimers is; I don’t speak for everyone but my instinct was to read ‘Lanino’ as “lah nee-no” instead of “La neen-yo”. Since there’s no ñ. So less chance for out of context stuff! And also means it’s kinda (imo) up to your interpretation if you pronounce it with the ñ or not. (So nobody has to feel bad about mispronunciation! And both versions flow very well verbally)
Also it’ll probably still happen a bit, but it’s a lot less likely, I think, for search results about the weather phenomenon to show up with results about the characters, because of the pronoun switch and it being one word. And it’s easier for autocorrect and searching because you just type it in as one word!
That was worded a bit weird but basically if you look up “La niña” you’re less likely to see the character, and if you look up “Elnina” there’ll be the whole thing where the search engine tries to correct you and you say no, so more results about the character!
There’s a very low chance any of this was intentional on Toby’s end but I think it’s neat.
I really love the word slapdash so I'm gonna talk about it.
First of all: it means kinda put together last second so yeah: you slapped it together and then you dashed. But also! It’s a combination of two words, so it was also slapped together. Also it rolls off the tongue really nicely. Slapdash
