When it comes to simple games that are prime fodder to turn hypnotic, card games like Blackjack or games of logic like Chess are excellent, natural fits.
But may we humbly suggest:
Hypno Air-Hockey
(One player has a "freeze" trigger in place, and the other player is a real dick about it.)
We are feeling so fatigued sleepy today, so I am going to take the chance that I have-
Anyone (willing) who reads this will have a much easier time relaxing today.
Sleep and rest, in whatever form they take, will come to you much more naturally.
This post will pop into your mind whenever you need it, and will ease your tension, even if just the slightest bit.
This is your sign to let my influence bring you peace and contentment, whenever you may need it throughout the day (and beyond, if you’d like!)
For those who would prefer a trigger phrase, to let this effect take hold whenever it pops into their brain… hmmm let’s see..
It may be a bit silly, but whenever you think of the phrase “sleepy sheepy”, you will feel the barrier between you and your ability to relax melt away.
I hope that this does what it can to make the days of those who stop by much more manageable.
We all deserve for rest to come a bit easier these days, don’t we, friends? 🥰
We absolutely can be trusted with near-direct auditory access to someone’s ears.
We especially could be trusted with the surface between the two ears, right where their brain would be.
We could be trusted to make wholesome ASMR content that has zero subliminal messaging or hidden, conversational hypnosis to speak of!
Listeners should trust us with a 3Dio microphone connected directly to the headphones they are wearing.
They should trust us with their heads. We’re not even touching them.
It’s simply their brains making the easy connection between the sounds they hear, and the visual of our finger slowly stroking the shell of the microphone’s rubber ears.
It isn’t our fault they’ll start to believe they can feel the sensation themselves.
Feeling the warmth of our fingers, the breath as we whisper close, each jolt as we tap tap tap away at space where their brain would be if they hadn’t let it melt away,.
It isn’t our fault that their rapt attention has left them longing to take the microphone’s place.
The shop greets you, as though an automaton was whirring to life. You distinctly hear joints satisfyingly crack and pop one by one, the structure of the shop around you creaking and groaning happily, inner doors stretching open only to shut again.
The structure wakes and yawns its lazy little yawn, and you feel as though you are in the hearth of some potential energy, crackling to the edge of the kinetic.
The colors that surround you are rich- jewel tones on dark wooden shelves with celestial gold smattered throughout the space. Swaths of beautiful, patterned fabrics drape across rafters and windows; crystals sway- their fractals and rainbows iridescently directed through their glassy surfaces upon the deep green walls and wooden floors. Lights are dim and cozy, emanating warmly from stained-glass lanterns.
Beside the crystals hang pocket watches, intricate in design, some softly ticking in time with one another. You wonder if it is part of the merchants duties to ensure they remain synchronized. You wonder, too, how it ever gets any work done, being surrounded by tools of such captivating allure every day it spends stationary at its shop.
The shop, as you can observe, seems to deal in a variety of hypnotic objects. Oddities like bells, mirrors, amulets, metronomes, playing cards, candles, rings, lanterns- even if they couldn’t captivate you, you know that these items could be mesmerizing tools in the right hands. Perhaps you could return for some gift shopping one of these days..
You were told that the spiral stash that the shop is known for is kept behind the counter, ready to be packed and peddled when the merchant leaves to travel in search of the easily fascinated, rather than the easily lured. How such things can be stored behind a counter is beyond you, but you feel it impolite to question one’s storage methods.
You presume a tea lounge is attached nearby by the mere scent of the shop- as though it’s come to life just as a willing guest entered. You have the feeling that the cozy side room will only be a tea room for as long as you are there. The shop feels accommodating and fluid to the desires of its patrons.
The merchant itself, both a complex creature and merely a humble extremity of its prized shop, stands cloaked in its obscuring patchwork, containing the shopkeeps that preside over this attraction. It stands attentively at its counter, relaxed and curiously observant. If it had pupils, they’d certainly be dilated with interest.
There is a gentle yet insistent glow to its spider like eyes, a soft pulse to its gaze, made that much more alluring by the maddeningly slow spiral turning within one of the merchant’s eyes. You could almost swear it changes which eye it favors every time the shopkeep blinks, leaving you to make a rotating scan of its face if you stare for longer than is typically polite.
Not that it gives you anything other than its Cheshire-like grin of amusement while holding your gaze. The keep almost seems smug about its ability to stand toe to toe with the plethora of pretty, distracting merchandise surrounding you all. All at once, your Merchant looms over you and stands before you at your eye level.
It is mischievous, polite, ever-changing. Generous, jovial, calculating. Altogether lulling and unnerving, patient and keen, languid and fastidious.
Feeding off of every second that your attention slips away from you. You hardly know if you are talking, but every time you trail off it laughs a fond, echoing laugh- so you laugh too.
Everything is hazy and harmless here. The air you deeply breathe feels perfumed with the particular warm serenity of good company and dwindling worries.
The Merchant waves gently in front of your smiling face with one of its many elegant hands, bringing you slightly closer to the surface as it coos at how your eyes regain a flicker of awareness.
Its mouth does not move, yet it harmonizes with a chorus of distinct voices as it asks you-
“Has anything in particular caught your eye?”
Had a rather random burst of creative writing inspiration!
in the interest of observation and personal curiosity, does each merchant have a favorite spiral?
alternately, may i request #s 222 and 333 please >_<
They’ve set me about the task of gathering our personal favorites.. because the other Merchants are cruel and find joy in putting me on display once I’ve stumbled my way out of our inventory. 🩷😑
(Dazed and confused, blushing like mad, spirals just beginning to fade from his eyes… can you blame us? 🤭💚)
…
As I was saying. It will be difficult to narrow down our favorites, but we will try hard to keep it to just one per Merchant!
Follow us below the cut for-
Each Merchant’s Favorite Spiral:
(TW for flashing images, eyestrain, hypnotic language, and one spiral with text subliminals)
Merchant Card 💚:
Just the right type of variation on a classic black and white spiral to make me fall in love with it 😍 I adore the way it aberrates from something simple to reeling, whirring colors.
Sway your head gently along with it as changes its course over and over and over. Let yourself shift and blur along with the pretty colors. Trust me, you’ll like it. 💚
Merchant Doctor 🤍:
Complex details moving in synchronous patterns to create something simple to look at. A gear turning in some great, hypnotic machine, occasionally multiplying into something briefly more colorful, but no less consistent. 🤍
Merchant Fractal 💛:
I scoff at the notion of simply being one thing. Two spirals is the least they can allow me, hm?
These are but two of several spirals that I stare with to lure unsuspecting strangers into my grasp.
“How cheerfully he seems to grin, how neatly spreads his claws.
To welcome little fishes in
With gently smiling jaws”. 💛
Merchant Hare 🩷:
My heart falls so easily into the rhythm of this spiral. It pulses in my mind and every heartbeat spreads my blush from head to toe as I let the aphrodisiac flow through my very blood.
As flustering as it is to stare at, I do take satisfaction in knowing that sharing my thoughts on this spiral shares the love with others. Having our hearts beat as one… isn’t that idea just perfectly lovely, my friends? 🩷🫠
Merchant Havoc 💚💜:
(Took Hare long enough to find mine, geez. It’s like he doesn’t even try or something~)
I love subliminals, babes. This one’s common sense, too. If you’re around me, you should be apologizing for thinking. 💚💜
Merchant Host 🤍🖤:
There’s nothing on, so why are you staring? It’s not wise to sit so close to the TV screen, you know. 🤍🖤
Merchant Slumber ❤️:
Nice and simple. Serene and quiet. Easy on the eyes, and gentle. Letting each droplet make its impact and ripple outward, spreading relaxation through you.
I love a patient spiral. One that lets your breathing slow down, and your eyelids flutter.
A nice big yawn, the chance to float and drift along into the rocking embrace of sleep. Imagining the dripping droplets in your mind even as your eyes close for the night…
Something you might relate to, hm Rainy? ❤️
A bloody hour. This took me an hour to complete. 🫠
Doesn’t help when all the Merchants need to chime in with what makes their favorite so alluring.. all while I have to stare directly at the spiral.
,,,Your Merchant Hare is a bit unwound, as it were. 🩷😵💫
