Week 6 milestone check up done!! 💪 Bone is healing properly, the titanium plate is holding everything nicely. Atka is again all dopey and with that deer in headlights look, but that will pass. We can start with short walkies, gradually going for longer ones. After the scare from a couple of days ago, Atka is adding a bit more weight again on her operated leg. Yesterday night she slept without the cone of shame, only with her leggings to cover the wound. She did lick over it, but the wound seems to be fine. Start of week three post op and there goes my peace of mind... she’s limping again 😫. After each meal, they always get a piece of carrot 🥕(as a treat for the first one to wait patiently until the other one is done eating). Since the operation, Atka gets hers in the crate. I don’t know how it happened, but she sort of jump/ran/slid 🤸‍♀️and now she’s not putting in much weight on the operated leg. She still folds the leg without crying, so I’m hoping there is nothing out of place or broken.
