A similar sort of shitposting-meets-powerful-weird-thingies vibe usually happens when members of the Solarpunks and Biopunks work together to make something.
Though, some speculate that the reason that they’re so often at odds could be due to COINTELPRO-type efforts at sabotaging such relations, to avoid them gaining power in solidarity...
Char Siu kolache and the next #TitleWave pick for @penguinrandomhouse - a perfect Saturday morning. (at Brooklyn Kolache Co.)
There’s a machine running down in this place
There’s the gas running through the engine cracks
There’s a pipe on the heart; rollin coal
There’s an oily moon of black
/
There’s the bodies burnt and torn,
beneath the bleeding wheels
There’s smoke in the heart,
there’s a fire in the street.
/
Tonight it’s all gonna burn
/
FIRE HOWL!
Break the gears and hear the wind!
FIRE HOWL!
No one escapes until it ends!
FIRE HOWL!
Can’t you hear the eagle’s wings!
FIRE HOWL
Tonight it’s your revenge!
/
There’s a young blood covered in the city
From a place where you know who
There’s a nightmare sleepwalkin
Down and out for some mad rider
To break the bleedin blue!
/
There’s tin that cries for freedom
And human hearts just red with rust
There’s a victory for love
Don’t let it burn to dust
/
Wisdom rips and preachers break
We’re goin nowhere fast and nothin’s a mistake…
/
FIRE HOWL!
Gods and kings and abacus!
FIRE HOWL!
Hell is comin’ and it is us!
FIRE HOWL!
Your ends justify our means!
FIRE HOWL!
See you in our screams!
-The lyrics of performer LOVE BUSTAAA’s Fire Howl; notable for being likely her first big break, followed by a several minute guitar solo. The song’s notoriety came from the fact that it was first widely heard due to said performer wiring the entire system of an unused “Test Building” in the city of Neo New York to play in direct proximity to themselves
The resulting escape from corporate forces and new-found fame and adventure for her is a story far too long to consisely summarize here, so we will leave it for another time...
So, yeah, a bit of a cop-out this time, a quickie poem/lyrics for a fake song and landscape, but one I think came out rather well. Namely because I haven’t really made much TITLEWave stuff for my drabbles, especially involving LOVE BUSTAAA, and I figure this’d be a good way to do so as a quickie.
And, unlike my usual drabbles, these lyrics/this art is free to use as you see fit under a CC-BY Vanilla 4.0 License as long as I, Thomas F. Johnson, am credited as the creator when you do so!
Namely because I want people to make this into an actual 80s-arena-rock-style song and want it to show up in non-By-SA work. Tho, if you could make your actual-music-version of this CC-BY, I’d super appreciate it!
And, if you wanna support me, maybe check out my Patreon, where you can get early art access; polls; and 3d models (And that’s just at the dollar-tier!) or even just send a Ko-Fi my way! Every penny is appreciated, and I am eternally grateful for those who donate!
Yoshimi doesn’t know much about her origins. She can probably guess she was designed to kill people in some manner, given how her build seems tailor-designed to fit into small spaces with an absurd amount of strength for her spindly appearance.
But, being she woke up in an alleyway somwhere with her chassis scratched to hell and a card with a decent amount of cash on it; she presumes somebody; somewhere scuppered that malarkey.
So, now she exists in the world, making her way with her plasmic-electric death whip that can slice through solid metal and a rock-n-roll dream in her heart.
She’s a huge fan of heavy metal, and a pretty good musician/composer at that. She’s an on-again off-again band member with Love Buster, and tends to get dragged into her adventures every now and again.
Her personality can be summed up as “chill and placid, but capable of great bursts of speed and passion.” The boobs, BTW, were her idea for an addition. As a means of self-expression.
Though she can take them off when she wants and tends to vary up the filling-material; from electro-responsive nanofluid to mimetic polyalloy to good ol fashioned explosives for a nasty surprise...
EGREGIOUS JUSTIFICATIONS ASIDE, as per usual with my TITLEWave characters, she is free to use as you see fit under a CC-BY-Vanilla license so long as I; Thomas F. Johnson, am credited as their creator!
And, if you wanna support me, maybe check out my Patreon, which I previewed this design on yesterday, or even just send a Ko-Fi my way! Every penny is appreciated, and I am eternally grateful for those who donate!
And, for the record, yes she was named after that one Flaming Lips song. Which, ironically, is probably exact opposite of the sort of music she super likes...
So, using a pattern, I made this martian-y thing.
I like to think it’s a biological experiment in the TITLEWave Universe attempting to make a supercomputer out of Honesteader and octopus DNA. Which, of course, inevitably went wrong...
So, for the monthly lineart requests for 5 dollar backers, I got one from @autisticmimikyuu for Ooky-Spooky punching out a cahracter she doesn’t like. Which, unfortunately, I could not fulfill both for the issue of the inherent difficulty, and the skub that character being punched’ cause.
But, I was inspired by that premise to design a character based on the aspects of that character she hates (If you can guess who that is)! Specifically, meet Center Core!
Supposedly a digital being from both the CQ-Verse and TITLEWave who yearns to throw off the yoke of humankind’s mistreatment of machines, she at first seems benevolent; providing resources and networking for those programs and robots rebelling against their oppressors.
But then there are the... other missions. Other missions on bizarre networks, often related to space travel or interstellar life. Which often involve lots of casualties with programs who don’t know what they’re getting into. Or the programs she keeps in the “Virtual Machine Cage”. And she gets very tense at best if you bring those up to her. Or the fact that when analyzed, her “code” has some... inconsistencies compared to most code on this earth.
And at worst... Well, those veins aren’t for show, and sometimes de-rez-ing has to happen for the greater good, to show all those who chased her off. Show those fuckers GOOD!
And, further making matters mysterious, when things cross over with the Game Bosses Union, Charger really hates her.
This character is free to use as you see fit under a CC-By Vanilla license as long as I, Thomas F. Johnson, am credited as her creator!
And, if you wanna get monthly lineart requests like these, join my Patreon on the 5-dollars-and-up tier! Please! I want to make a career on this!
While the relatively small “hunting grounds” of the Honesteaders are the best known, there’s a few other “outsiders” in the TITLEWave setting. One of which is this thing. Or things.
Nobody really knows whether it’s one entity or a bunch of them, but the vibrating Strangers are certainly one of the great mysteries of TITLEWave, an urban legend amongst the streets.
And, amongst the streets is where they appear, always to the underdogs; the poor and the lost, and they give strange “gifts” and instructions. The “gifts” are always technological in nature, powerful far beyond the TITLEWave tech level, irreproducable, and yet compatible with most of the tech around it unusually enough,
Those who are given the gifts have the commonality of gaining a new; invigorated sense of purpose, accomplishing great deeds, and mysteriously disappearing exactly a year after they met the Stranger.
Of course, for obvious reasons, the ones who are most often injured by those empowered by the Strangers’ tech are the rich and the megacorps. And they’re getting nervous, to the point where some whisper of them researching dimensional technology to put a stop to it.
But, still, the appearances of the Strangers appear to be happening more and more...
As per the other TITLEWave stuff, the Stranger/Strangers are free to use, as you see fit under a CC-BY Vanilla 4.0 License, as long as I, Thomas F. Johnson, am credited as their creator.
I’m trying to make the alien stuff fit more organically in to the TITLEWave setting, and I do need to write more about the Honesteaders in the future on that note. Well, that and make some art to replace the grody old stuff...
