I think body hair that isn’t leg hair deserves appreciation too. Body hair is amazing. I love the little hairs above my lip. I love how I can see the peach fuzz on my jaw starting to grow thicker. It’s exciting to see more chest hair everyday, I love that after years of having just the one that more are coming.

I love the little hairs on my arm that are growing in, little blonde ones that will turn black some day to match the rest. I love the hair on my hands and the hair on my fingers. I love that the hair on my stomach has been going growing further up my belly. I can see light blonde hairs on my back that weren’t there before, I’ll love them too when they grow in.

My leg hair was already so thick and dark, and I hope mine gets thicker and darker. I love the matching patches of skin on my legs that are bald from my thighs rubbing together. I even love the hair on my feet. I love being hairy but if the hair on my head thins or goes bald I’ll love that too.

It’s a little frustrating to me that using the words “chose” or “become” in relation to sexuality or gender is considered by a lot of other queer people to always be wrong. I think this is another case of “listen when people tell you what language they identify with”.

How is it that tumblr can understand things like"malewife" (or female husband), say stuff like "nonbinaries can be lesbian! lesbian is inclusive of the nonbinary experience!", and go on and on about "'the rich history' of the complex relationship lesbians have to gender" (every time I see someone parrot this line, they themselves never seem to understand what that "complex relationship" is) - and then IMPLODE at lesbians who define their gender as "lesbian" (or hell, butch) and not (just) "woman", who use he/him pronouns, or use terms like lesboy. :/

Honestly I think a lot of people who say that we are included in lesbian sexuality (while also being exclusionary towards other nonbinary ppl) don't actually view us as nonbinary. And yeah, it often feels like a very shallow understanding of the complexity of lesbian gender identity is the default on tumblr.

It's like this complexity is assumed to be 100% observable or understandable from an outside perspective. People can perhaps understand a butch as long as they're a masculine woman but to go further and use he/him? To want top surgery or god forbid bottom surgery? To be multigender or genderqueer or girlboy or lesboy? That's too complicated :/

Whenever there’s a post explaining he/him lesbians its always phrased “some women are more masculine” and not “some lesbians are disconnected from womanhood/are nonbinary/have a complicated relationship with gender”. :/
