HOW TO MAKE PACKING UNDERWEAR/A PACKING POUCH
you will need:
Fabric (preferably stretchy, and gentle. Not soft or fuzzy. I use spandex!)
boxers
scissors
thread (needle if you’re handsewing)
a sewing machine (not required! This can be handsewn)
a marking pen/chalk/other kind of marking thing
pins (if you’re using a sewing machine)
step one: draw out your pattern! It needs two segments, and one should be half an inch shorter than the other. Mine is 7 inches in length and 3 inches and 7/16ths in width. For the second half, it should have the same width with it being 6 1/2 inches in length. When you draw your pattern, it needs to taper into a rounded point.
step two: pattern it out! Make sure to label the sides because they’re easy to get confused. I have a lot of extra fabric here because i’m making more than one pouch. When you’re done, cut it out.
step three: pin and sew together! The tip of the front half should align with the tip of the back half. If you’re handsewing, i strongly recommend shrinking the pattern size to the same length, but around 3 inches in width. It helps keep your packer in place.
step five: pin and sew your pouch into your boxers. To do this, align your pouch with the front of your boxers and make sure that the shorter side is facing YOU when you pin it in place - this is crucial. Sew the pouch about where the seam of the boxers is, and make sure not to accidentally sew it shut!.
step 6 (optional! Only if you want your pouch to be super secure.): find the point where your pouch ends, pin and sew it into place, this provides extra stability for your packer.
and now you’re done! Happy packing!

I've been packing sometimes with a balled up sock for about 7 years and just got my first real packer, but don't own a slim enough harness for daily wear. Wanted to share my quick n easy fix, which worked for a formal ceremony today.
I've looped a thick rubber band twice (around the balls and shaft) and slipped a safety pin through the top. This would probably also work with a hairband. Then I positioned it, pulled up my underwear (I'm wearing thin trunks without much of a pouch) and pinned it to the front from the inside so it sat where I wanted (I prefer it low).
Stayed in place under chinos all day fairly well. Will be DIYing a similar method that's not attatched to my trunks but to it's own band to avoid it getting pulled out of place.
damn boy is that a homemade sock packer safety pinned to the inside of your boxers or are you just happy to see me?

Being genderfluid is fun sometimes because some nights I'll hang out in my room in a shirt without any pants while packing and some nights I put on my prom dress just to feel pretty while still packing.
