Adult jack would prob work at a zoo (maybe herpatologist even) and be really obsessed with seals, also he has developed a seething hatred for sleeping without being able to hug or hold something, he cannot and will not do it (in my mind, this is all headcanon)

I think another reason why Jack and bardle were hanging out so much isn’t just because Jack was bardles apprentice but is because bardle knew working on Grazts tail would weaken him and could probably kill him, so he wanted Jack to have good memories of him, and have another reason to fight for good just in case he died, but he did die later on so… 🥲
