TLS 21 DAY CHALLENGE
FITNESS GOAL
Last night I started creating February 2018 entries for my bullet journal. And in the process, I reviewed my January goals. These are goals I’ve set-up following Brian Tracey’s “How To Prepare for 2018”.
I was really proud of myself achieving 2 out of 3 goals with my business and finances. But what about the third one? My third goal was to go to the gym 3x a week.
I was so caught up with work, projects and back to back appointments that I did not have a rest day at all. I am not complaining, in fact, am very grateful that I have something really worthwhile to do and occupy my time.
However, my health and fitness were put aside. So, for February, FITNESS is one of my focal points. And tomorrow, 1st day in February, I am starting my 2nd round of TLS 21 DAY CHALLENGE.
I did the TLS 21 DAY CHALLENGE in October 2017 and it kickstarted my journey to a healthier lifestyle. Now for those who know me, I can’t get by without coffee in the morning and I can eat chocolate any time of the day. I eat chocolate cake for breakfast in fact. I eat when I want to and sometimes I don’t eat...because I forget to eat. Plus, I don’t really like vegetables. I once complained to a restaurant because they partnered my lasagne with a bowl of salad and I had to pay extra for garlic bread. I thought, Who puts veggies with pasta? Carbs partnered with carbs were the best especially if it’s loaded with butter.
My average sleep was 4 hours because I used to work 14-hour days. The irregularity of my sleep, lack of rest, bad eating habits have caused me to gain weight. I didn’t feel bad about it until I cannot fit my clothes anymore. I started going the gym but knew that exercise is not enough. So, when one of my business partners, who is a TLS Fitness Coach, said she has intakes for the 21 DAY CHALLENGE, I jumped right in.
Now, two months after, I can say it was one of the best decisions I ever did for myself. After the first week of the challenge I already saw results and by the third week… I have created habits which I didn’t think was possible for myself. My groceries were filled with fresh produce when it used to be all processed food, I followed all the required supplementation when before I didn’t have a regular one, I drank more water…plain water… when before I needed all my drinks to be sweet and coloured. I started exercising and now understand how Yoga benefits my overall being. I started to fit my clothes again and my puffy face became smaller. Friends noticed the change and my Physio said what I’m doing was working. And I felt it working, making me feel more confident and ‘happy’.
With the holidays, my birthday month, and Australia Day, I’ve packed some kilos again especially around the tummy which has always been my problem. And it was so easy to slip back to being “busy” with work that I am not attending to my fitness needs. I’ve gone back to drinking 1-2 glasses a day when I was already drinking 8 glasses during my TLS journey. And my salad packs have expired untouched. I need to get back in shape again….NOW and FAST! So yes, I am putting it out there, I am doing my 21 DAY CHALLENGE again starting tomorrow. I welcome friends who want to join me. See you in three weeks!!
