Tree. “Creeped me right the hell out.”

Fell and cut his head, taken by ambulance to John Radcliffe Hospital. Nurse Annie.
1960s - Raymond Fielding ran a halfway house there, on behalf of the local diocese. Agnes, around 11. Brown pigtails.
Raymond disappears when Agnus was late teens. Pets disappear.
1974 Henry White goes missing. House burns. The only body they found was Raymond Fielding, a skeleton missing its right hand.
Intense, maddening anger at that tree. Something warm and wet sprayed out - “blood falling from the tree” - scorch marks at the based of the tree. Pulled it down.
Something in the hole - wooden box, intricate pattern carved on the outside, hard to look away. Box contained a green apple. Apple began to rot, burst open and spiders poured out, then dissolves to dust. Box destroyed and discarded.

Agnes Montague found dead by suicide (hanging) 11/23/2006, same day as the tree was uprooted. Severed hand attached to her waist by a chain... died at the same time.
