SO MANY THREADS OF CONNECTION IN TMA I LOVE IT! But anyway here are my takeaways (pun fully intended) from this:
1. There was (is?) a group of Hunters focused on hunting Spiral creatures/finding the Great Twisting (fair enough I guess).
2. The polar expedition that Maxwell Rayner, Avatar of the DARK, was obsessed with? It was (is?) actually aligned with the Hunt (oops).

We ve got a heartfelt convo between Martin and Tim; Martin, Bessira and Melanie going out for drinks at 1 pm; Melanie trying to poison Elias 🥰
TMA 98 - Poor Martin being forced to make statements by Elias. Tim suggesting to Elias that he not be a big scary psychopath is very Tim.
Martin defending Jon and Tim still angry with Jon - and then Martin snapping at the tape recorder. Martin seems to take the idea that the tape recorders are sentient very much in his stride.
Ooh, the Franklin expedition. That expedition has been a rich source for horror writers.
Melanie - making friends with Martin and then trying to poison Elias. She’s brilliant.
