now onto the slightly sad news: I don’t foresee me ever finishing tmagr. I tend to enter and exit fandoms in a super cyclical way, and some of them are recurring/annual/bi-annual/etc., and some of them end up having a temporary place in my life. BNHA/MHA seems to have been a temporary one, because I never really fell in love with it again the way I fell in love with it the first time when I started writing tmagr back in 2020.

Onto the slightly good news: I have a few chapters ready that I never posted, and did have a ton of notes on my plans for tmagr, and I am planning on posting all of that sometime in the future so folks will have at least a somewhat-finished product. I gotta clean them up and get them readable and then hype myself up to probs disappoint a lot of ppl by posting said notes rather than Actual Content, and I also have some pretty serious shit I’m dealing with that taxes my energy a ton, so I don’t make any promises for that happening any time soon - but while I’ve had eternal WIPs plenty of times before, it bugs me that I left tmagr in the place that I did and I know I want those damn notes posted for everyone who said such nice things about tmagr and enjoyed it so much and always made my day when I saw comments/etc. on it

So! Thank you for messaging me, sorry for taking awhile to get to it, thank you for reading and enjoying, and hopefully I’ll get those last few chapters and the notes posted sometime relatively soon to give everyone a bit of closure~

I just finished reading what you have written of your bnha fic and I. I am going to cry. It is so sweet and then so unexpectedly sad and I want to hug Aizawa and I want to hug Izuku and I want erasermic to sort themselves out and this is is third(?) fic I've read with Midnight/Inko and that is a God Tier Ship and dammit I want Aizawa to put together the DFO crumbs and ALSO nobody told him???? about OFA??? this poor mans I'm so glad he's finding a family

Nobody told Aizawa anything!!! Past timeline was garbage at communication and (possibly surprisingly!) Mic was gonna be the one to force everyone to Actually Use Their Words this time around. Truly his past substance abuse was the only reason that timeline got so fucked I believe present mic could save the world with enough support ✨

TMAGR is wonderful! I read your post about the other possibilities for who could have traveled back in time, and if it has been Present Mic, do you think he would have told young Eraserhead? Or let Aizawa keep avoiding him at first because he would have noticed something different about him and Hizashi couldn't deal with his best friend with no idea of their shared history and trauma during a rough patch in their friendship?

hm, interesting question - I think Mic would’ve kept it to himself for awhile. Not nearly as long as Aizawa would in tmagr, but for a good long bit while he figured out a plan. He would’ve been more ruthless than Aizawa and WAY better at compartmentalizing, like Aizawa’s a Hot Mess because he cares so much and not that Mic doesn’t care, but he takes things less personally imho so he’d be a Man on a Mission and hiding behind his party-goer persona to get shit done without anyone noticing.

Then Aizawa would eventually corner him and unlike Mic who Cannot Tell Aizawa No, Aizawa wouldn’t let him deflect and not explain why he’s been acting weird and So Different, and Mic can’t lie to Aizawa, soooo…. Cue buddy cop esque shenanigans but Gay ~

TMAGR is perfection! Shouta obliviously calling Hizashi pretty and leaning into his touches and thinking of course he'd do anything for him and jealous the first time around he wasn't as close at 21 as they are now--how did this guy even realize he was gay? Was it he figured out physical attraction, but not romantic feelings? Did he think it long odds he was the only guy able to think clearly when a hot girl was flirting, they can't ALL be irrational, and look for reason? Did he crush on teacher

I do love writing an oblivious gay, because I am very much an oblivious gay and I find us charming in a stupid way 🤣 imho shouta just kinda… knew? like he didn’t have many friends as a kid but he knew that when boys on the playground would tease him that he’d get flustered and once he was 10-13 he kinda went “I don’t react when girls tease me but I almost passed out when that guy did, clearly there’s a difference here,” and he kinda logically thought it through and did some “okay I’ll hold her hand… nope nothing. I’ll hold his hand - ohhhHhhfuckthat’shishandohshitohfuck!!!!” tests to confirm, then went about his day as usual

(tmagr) but moreover you've made me actually like midnight (or as i think of her in my head now, nemuri) something which i genuinely did not believe possible. all the kudos and love for that fic and your writing ability. hope you're having a good night!!!

I’m delighted to be the person who can make someone like a character they normally wouldn’t, that’s such high praise b/c I think it’s really easy to make people hate someone but it’s harder to make people like someone that they don’t love 😭😭😭 so again! I love tmagr! Aizawa doesn’t do a lot of self-reflection (trauma) but what about when he gets to exact situations and sees his reaction is different. Say when he Doesn’t expel a student who he sees differently but he also has higher standards for character and Wants to expel one he taught before? Will he worry about changing it?
