The way they're both seen as so reliable and kind yet don't really have anyone to confide their struggles with UNTIL THEY FIND EACH OTHER <¾ the fact that they're able to share their deepest difficulties in life with one another <3 their mutual deep bond and connection . Sean being the first person to see daisy beyond and behind the mask of purity and perfection she presents to everyone else . That he was able to see her through her deeper insecurities and her struggling to fit everyone's expectations . And him sharing a vulnerable thing about himself, about his escapism and just being there for her . And also the way it started as daisy offering to talk to him while he's cleaning up the Music club room, so he isn't alone ,. They make each other feel less alone and they trust each other so much. And him comforting her and knowing how to help her. Their connection through music. And they're just so adorable ??. And blue daisies symbolize long term loyalty and trust. And both their outfits are blue and daisy is literally called daisy so ! ! They're so cutes. And their ship name (Dean) can be pronounced as DAWN ahh

So with the finale premier up already and the chat going wild, I just wanna share some of my thoughts (mainly about shipping)/

I am a person who ships Drake. I enjoy Drew's character and the complexity Drake could have if done well.

I am also a Jailey enjoyer. The only reason I don't so much like it, is because it's predictable. But that's not an issue with the Ship itself, more of a writing issue.

I think both Jaisy and Jia are cute and had potential.

Despite all of this though, I hope none of these ships become cannon, for a few reasons.

For one, there's not enough time for Jia and Jaisy to develop too mutual love. Unless it's revealed that Daisy had secret feelings for Jake all along (which is unlikely). So it would feel like poor writing. Plus Jia kinda had its exit last finale. The two resolved to be friends.

As for Jailey and Drake? I feel similarly. I love these two ships. I think they're ADORABLE.

But with how dynamics were left off, I don't think it'd feel natural for either of these ships to be cannon. Drew and Jake are legit not friends anymore as of now. I obviously hope they make up and resolve their issues, but even then for them to become canon feels rushed and forced.

Same with Jailey. They're adorable. But there's so much shit to resolve it wouldn't feel well done to have them jump into a cannon relationship at the end of it all.

Now, the thing is, if a future relationship was alluded to in like a post-credit scene of sorts; mayhaps in the form of a season two coming soon? I could be on board. But I just feel like any explicit relationships becoming canon would feel too quick.

Obviously, this only applies to main ships that require good flow. Side ships like: (Dean, Dadie, Milliot, etc.) is something I still want to happen. They just require less writing to still flow well with the story and will go with the overall narrative well.

Also, just a random thing to throw in, The title says finale. Not SERIES FINALE just FINALE. Potentially allowing for a season two???

While Sean and Daisy are similar in a lot of ways, (both are welcoming, kind, friendly, absolute sweethears, etc), the difference between them is their amount of freedom, and their specific details of parent issues. While Daisy has many restrictions and deals with a ton of pressure from her moms who constantly focus on her performance too much and she feels trapped, Seans' parents are implied to pay little to no attention to the point of potential emotional neglect, in which case he has a ton of freedom, yet still suffers from lack of care he receives. However,in this position, Sean is capable of pointing Daisy to the right direction in which she can express herself more and find healthier ways to cope and relax without pressure, because Sean probably never had as much restrictions as Daisy had and had to learn to cope and find ways to enjoy life himself. I hope that in season two Daisy will be able to help Sean with HIS own situation and make him feel heard. (she isn't obliged to, I just feel like it would be nice)

Random side note but I love how more emotionally open and expressive they feel free to be around each other, it really shows their level of trust for one another. (which ties into the symbolism of blue daisies which represent deep trust, honesty and loyalty according to vvarious online articles, which IS relevant bc of Daisys' name and bc both Sean and Daisy wear blue and
