this tiktok talks about how taylor sings “standing there in my party dress in red lipstick with no to impress” and how when you’re really in love, you don’t need to impress your partner. it’s your birthday that you’re celebrating with your loved ones and you should be comfortable and not thinking about how to do things to make your partner happy(who doesn’t even show up). this isn’t to say that she didn’t love him but that she always felt that she had to be bright and shiny for him to be able to be with her, and that just makes me so sad.
