clary and simon were the best things to ever happen to the shadowhunter world, if only for introducing us to mundane media. shadowhunters did sometimes write books or music but it felt like the creative world of nephilim never moved past the 1800s. we all needed something new. isabelle seemed genuinely so much happier getting into all the tv shows and movies simon would tell her about. i couldn't get enough of music that wasn't classical. getting into new music was kind of the reason simon and I became more friendly with each other. Love those two, love that they helped save the world and all, but also love them for digging us out from under the rock we were living under

Hey, I'm the host of a system and I'm actually asking on behalf of Alec Lightwood (TMI, Shadowhunters), who's new and too nervous to ask on his own. He's aprehensive of family since them being not quite the ones he knows would be too uncomfortable to deal with, but he remembers being friends with Simon and misses that, maybe anyone else a little less close than Jace or Izzy would be good too?

In regards to the Alec Lightwood request, I forgot to mention I’m 24 and he is about 20.
