I’m kinda waiting for Donnie to be a lot less creepy about it. A lot of the stuff he’s doing is framing himself as a Nice Guy(TM).

YES! I didn't care at all for the fact that he had a crush on her for the moment he saw her, with out knowing a damn thing about her as person. I mean I let it slide a bit because 2003 Donnie/April was kind of adorable in a school boy crush kind of way. But he was never too pushy about it. It was just clear that April's intelligence and kindness was a thing that Donnie had kind of fallen for.

But in 2012 he's just like, "Pretty girl! must make her like me." (Though I admit the chart thing was terribly cute.) 

I try to keep in mind though, that the turtles are teenagers in a way they haven't really been before. So yeah, Don is taking an immature approach to this relationship, but at the moment Don is still pretty immature.

I'm kind of hoping that this is a thing the writers use for character growth. Letting the turtles make mistakes and learn and grow.

If you need to gush about the turtles just go to my ask box because i love all of you and I want to hear all your thoughts and theories and turtle feelings because sometimes  I get so excited and fangirly over the turtles and no one understands.
