During the flight from Virginia to New York City, Angel sat alone in the corner of the jet, looking over the file. While it looked liked she was reading the case file, her mind wasn't there at all. No, her thoughts were wrapping themselves around the possibility of seeing Raphael again.
It's been seven months since Angel last saw and even spoke to Raphael. She always knew that there was a possibility of a case in New York City, but she still hoped that it wouldn't happen. There was no telling how she would react. Would she break down and cry? Or ignore him and act as though their relationship never happened?
Yea right. Like that could ever happen. Raphael was her first love, and she knew that he still holds an essential place in her heart. The bigger question she asked herself is, why did she care so much? It was clear he didn't care about her and moved on very quickly. She should be able to do the same.
Angel got so caught up in her thoughts, and she almost didn't notice Spencer. Spencer noticed that she had been staring at the same page for the past half hour and got concerned. He walked up, taking a seat in front of her—he then gently tapped on the file, and drawing her attention towards his concerned eyes.
"Angel, are you okay? You've been staring at the same page for the past half hour." Spencer asked in a soft, concerned tone. He gently pulled the file from her hands and closed it, setting it on the table.
Angel looked up at Spencer and let a sigh escape her lips. It wasn't news that Spencer knew almost everything about Raph, but she hated to bring up her issues. In Angel's mind, her concerns were hers alone to cope. Not Spencer's. Not Emily's. No one except for herself.
Despite knowing and believing this, the minute Angel looked into Spencer's eyes; she couldn't help but tell him what she was thinking. She knew that whatever they talked about in private, stayed between them with no judgment. Angel bit her bottom lip before she started to speak, "It's just......I left New York City seven months ago after Raph left me. The thought of possibly running into him is- I don't even know how to explain it. I know in my heart, I still love him dearly, but at the same time, I can't help but still feel that pain. Pain that, I don't want ever to feel again. What if I see him and run right back into his arms? I don't want to give him that power again, but I also don't know if I'd be strong enough to reject him. I mean, I haven't seen or talked to him in seven months. I just, I don't know how to react to that." Angel finished her rambling and noticed her silent tears running down her face. Despite her crying, she also felt like a significant weight was lifted off her shoulders. Angel spent so long trying to bury these feelings and thoughts deep down; it felt nice to let them out.
Spencer listened patiently, and once she finished, he gave her a soft smile before reaching over the table to take her hand into his. He stuttered to come up with the words, but he knew what he wanted to tell her. "Angel, you always bear the world's weight on your shoulders, and you still worry about others that you forget to take care of yourself. While some find it a flaw- I see it, endearing. You are the smartest, kindest, most generous woman I've ever met. Not to mention, you are drop-dead gorgeous. I know you're not ready for a relationship, and I understand that. I just, I can't go on keeping it a secret anymore," Spencer paused for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing, "I really like you. A lot. From the moment I met you, I've had a crush on you. I was just afraid to tell you because I didn't want to ruin our friendship, and I wanted to give you time to recover. But, after hearing your thoughts, I couldn't help but feel the need to tell you this. Especially if we do run into your ex. I didn't want to not tell you, then wake up one day and find out I was too late to tell you how I feel. I'll support you in whatever you choose, and if you want, I'll stay by your side if we ever do run into your ex." Spencer finished talking before he looked into her eyes.
The silence between them was nerve-wracking for Spencer. Had he ruined their friendship? Was she about to reject him? All his worries washed away when he saw Angel smile at him. She let a giggle escape her lips before running her thumb across the back of his hand"Spence, you are a fantastic profiler, but you aren't the best at hiding your emotions. Trust me, I've known you had a crush on me for a while now. I was just waiting for you to tell me. I'm not going to lie and say I don't also have a little crush on you, but you are right in the sense that I need a little time. But knowing you're willing to wait, it's amazing. Thank you. Hopefully, we don't run into Raph, but if we do, stay by my side, okay?" Angel asked hesitantly as she looked Spencer in the eyes. Spencer and the team were the only people she let her walls down for. They'd earned her trust, and they were all her family.
Spencer sighed in relief before he smiled at her, giving her a nod. He placed a soft kiss on her hand before he started to speak, "I'm glad you feel that way. I was super nervous to tell you, but I also understand that you aren't ready right now. I'll wait for you, and I'll stand by your side. I promise."
Angel and Spencer then started to talk about Doctor Who, where he filled her in on the plot of the latest episode. It was about 2 hours later when they landed in New York City. Grabbing all of their gear, the team deboarded the jet and walked over to two black SUV's and drove to the police station. During the drive, Angel looked out the window at New York City from inside the passenger seat of the SUV.
If she was sincere, nothing changed. It was still the same old New York City; it was when she left, yet she couldn't help but get a sense of being home. It didn't take long before they arrived at the police station. The team all made sure they had their credentials, badge, and guns on their person before making their way into the station.
The chief of Police walked up to the team, giving everyone except Spencer a firm handshake. "Hello, I'm Chief Cortez. You must be the BAU, thank you so much for coming up here in such a hurry. I've got a room for you to set up here." Chief Cortez said as he showed the team the room. All there was was a few boards, a table, and chairs.
Emily nodded at the police chief before speaking, "Thank you, sir. Have there been any more bodies discovered?"
The police chief shook his head before putting his thumbs through the front loops of his pants. "No, not since we called you in. I have every officer who isn't working another case though combing through alleyways and warehouses- basically any place we can expect to see a body." Chief Cortez said before nodding at the team. "I'll let you get to work then. Please, let me know if you need anything."
Emily smiled and nodded back, "We will. Thank you" she then turned her attention to the team to give them their assignments. "Alright, Lewis and Alvez, I want you two to go to the corner's and look at the three victims' bodies. See if there is anything we missed or couldn't see from the pictures. Simmons, I want you and Rossi to go scope out the dump sites and try to get into this guy's head. Angel, you and Reid will stay here and get a geographical profile going. I'll be going with Rossi and Simmons to the dumpsites."
The team all nodded, verifying their positions before they started to head their separate ways towards their assignments. Angel and Reid looked at where the victims were last seen alive, as well as the dumpsites to try and see if this guy had a comfort zone.
It's been seven months since Angel left him, and Raph would be lying to himself if he said it was easy. He was such a fool to let her go, especially for an ex who didn't want him. After Raph broke up with Angel, he went to his ex-girlfriend's apartment and was about to knock on the window, before he saw her with someone new. The sight broke his heart, and he knew then and there that she didn't want him. He just saw what he wanted to see.
After he left his ex's apartment, he made his way back to the lair, where he sulked around for a couple weeks. He started to realize the mistake he made. Raph had just broken up with the woman who'd loved him unconditionally for the past year. He didn't waste any more time before he rushed out the lair towards Angel's apartment, but was shocked by the sight he saw.
Angel's apartment was practically empty, with the only items left was the furniture that came with the apartment. Raph's thoughts started to race around his head before shaking his head.
"No, no, Th-this can't be happening." He stuttered before racing around the apartment, trying to find any evidence that Angel was here. After two hours of relentless searching, Raph had finally come to a conclusion. Angel left. She wasn't here anymore, and it was all his fault. He walked over and plopped down on the bed. His heart started to hurt, and he felt a lump in his throat. She was gone, and it was his fault. Raph couldn't help but let his head fall into his hands as he cried.
As the months went by, Raph tried to do anything and everything he could to find her. He tried calling and texting her, searched all of New York City, even enlisted the help of Donnie to try and find her. Nothing worked. Eventually, Raph started to lose hope he would ever see her, and right the wrong he did.
Raph's attitude started to change. He became unmotivated and began to neglect himself. He didn't even bother to train with his brothers anymore simply because he had no motivation or energy to do so. His brothers and Master Splinter all began to worry but knew that there wasn't anything they could do to change his mind. Raph soon became a shell of who he was.
Tonight was the night they were all going on patrol, and Leo had made his way up the stairs towards Raph's door. He paused before raising his hand and knocking on his brother's door. "Raph? Are you in there?" Leo asked, waiting patiently for a response from his brothers.
Raph was lying on his bed, staring at a picture of Angel. He gently traced his fingers around her face before letting out a sigh and answering his brother. "Yea, What do you want?" He asked as he sat up.
"Well, we are about to leave for patrol. Do you want to go with us? Its been a long time since we've all went out. Maybe some fresh air would do you some good." Leo suggested, trying to coax Raph out of his room.
Raph looked over at his weapons that laid on the desk in his room. After giving some thought, what harm would going outside do? It's not like things can get any worse than they are now. "....Sure. Just let me get my things, and I'll meet you at the manhole." Raph grumbled as he stood up, grabbing his sais and putting them on his belt.
Leo sighed in relief before smiling to himself. "Alright, We'll wait for you then. I'd rather we all went to the manhole together." Leo said before walking down the stairs. "Well, he finally said yes to coming out with us," Leo said to Donnie and Mikey.
Donnie's eyes widened in shock before he smiled. "Really? That's great. I think some fresh air is just what we all need." Donnie said as he crossed his arms across his chest. He couldn't help but worry about Raph. It's been so long since Raph has even so much as trained with his weapons. If they get into trouble, is Raph still going to be able to protect himself?
Mikey sighed as he rubbed his arm, looking at his brothers. "Guys, I'm not gonna lie, but I really miss Angel. Do you think she's okay?" Mikey asked, his voice filled with concern. Of course, Angel's departure hit the entire family hard. They all really liked Angel and could tell how much she loved Raph. They worried if she was safe and how she was overall.
Leo sighed before he nodded at his younger brother, giving the best smile he could. "I'm sure Angel is doing great. I miss her too, but I think it's best if we don't mention her to Raph at all tonight, okay?" He asked his brothers. They nodded in unison just at Raph made his way down the stairs.
Raph looked over at his brothers and gave a sigh before walking over and hugging them tightly. It certainly hasn't been easy dealing with his mopping attitude for the past seven months. He couldn't help but wonder if they blamed him for Angel leaving. He slightly shook his head before letting go of his brothers. "Let's head out. The night is young." Raph said softly.
The four brothers all made their way through the pipes until they reached the manhole. One by one, they made their way up to topside and climbed the closest ladder up to the rooftops. Almost immediately, Raph started to feel a little better. It had been so long since he'd even seen the city lights, and he missed it so much. They all jumped from rooftop to rooftop, having fun and patrolling the area.
They were just passing by their favorite pizza place when Raph suddenly stopped in his tracks. Next to the pizza place was a coffee shop that was extremely popular in New York City. However, it wasn't the coffee shop that stopped him in his tracks. No. It was the woman who walked out of the coffee shop. Raph's eyes widened as he stared at her from afar. There was no doubt in his mind who this was. "Angel," Raph said softly as he watched her emerge from the coffee shop, holding two coffee cups.
It's dark. Everywhere she looked and turned, there was nothing but darkness. Then out of nowhere, a particular turtle appeared in front of her, seemingly out of nowhere. The same turtle Angel fell in love with months ago, the same one who stole her heart, and inevitably, the same one who shattered it. She felt her blood run cold, her heart seemingly skipping a beat. There was nothing Angel could say or do. All she could do was stare at the turtle in front of her. The turtle glared at Angel before pulling out his sai. He made his way over to Angel. She wanted to move, but she couldn't. Once he was close enough, the turtle held the sai up, bringing it down to stab her.
Angel sat up in her bed, panting. Her body covered in sweat, and her heart racing. She couldn't do anything but sit there as the silent tears ran down her face. Eventually, Angel let her head fall into her hands as she cried.
Every night it was the same nightmare. Time and time again, Angel had continued to experience this over and over. It mentally drained her and made her feel as though she was hopeless. Angel quickly shook those thoughts out of her head.
No. Not again.
It had been six months since Angel and Raphael broke up, and six months since she left. Of course, a couple of weeks after she left, she received repeated phone calls and text from Raphael. It was so severe that Angel had to change her number to get Raph to stop. Angel wrapped her arms around herself as she took a deep breath. Looking over at the time, she decided to go ahead and get ready for work. Angel made her way into her bathroom to shower and get herself prepared for the day.
After making sure the water was the perfect temperature, she stripped her clothes off and stepped into the shower. Angel stood under the water for a good five minutes, letting the warm water run down her body as she closed her eyes. A shower was what Angel needed, especially after the nightmare she had. She almost didn't realize how long she was in the shower, but once she did, Angel had stepped out and dried herself off. Wrapping the towel around her, Angel makes her way back to her room and pulled out a pair of black pants and a black tee, as well as a black belt and a couple of socks.
Angel stepped out to her living room towards her coffee table. She bends down, grabbing a gun holster and hooking it to her belt where she could easily and quickly draw her gun, after grabbing her credentials and badge. Clipping the badge to her shirt, Angel couldn't help but let her mind think about the nightmare she had. What did it mean, and more importantly, why was she still thinking of Raph. It's been six months since they broke up, and Angel should be over him. He certainly was over her. It brought painful memories whenever Angel thought about how he left her for his ex-girlfriend. Angel didn't want to even imagine what they were doing right now. In her heart, she knew it would break her, and there was no time for that. She had her new life now, a new job, a new place. Yet, with all this change, Angel had also built a wall around her heart. She didn't want, no, she wouldn't be able to handle it if it was broken again. Angel shook her head gently before she a cup of coffee and walked out the door. Making sure her door was locked, Angel makes her way out of the apartment complex towards her car.
It took about 30 minutes, but Angel eventually arrived at the FBI headquarters in Quantico. Stepping out of the car, Angel takes a deep breath and closing her eyes, she enjoys the beautiful weather outside. After a couple moments, she makes her way into the building towards the elevator, pressing the button for the 6th floor. It took a few minutes, but eventually, the doors to the elevator open and Angel makes her way out of the elevator. She walked into the bullpen of the Behavioral Analysis Unit.
There, sitting at his desk, was Spencer Reid. Spencer was the first agent she informally met on her first day, and she was lying if she didn't mention he was the most intriguing. Unlike most guys who have a very macho attitude, Spencer was the complete opposite. He was socially-awkward and often stuttered, but he was absolutely brilliant. A genius in straightforward terms.
Spencer had three Ph.D.'s in mathematics, chemistry, and engineering, as well as two BA in psychology and sociology. What's more impressive was he has an IQ of 187, eidetic memory and can read 20,000 words per minute. If Angel hadn't seen this with her own eyes, she would have never believed it. Despite Spencer being socially-awkward, the two had actually become close friends. They both connected through their love of books, Doctor Who, and of course, coffee. During the time they have known each other, they've gone on multiple coffee dates where all the conversation was about was the most recent book they've read or the latest Doctor Who episode.
Spencer looked up from his file and smiled at Angel. It was apparent he had developed a bit of a crush on her. How could anyone not? She was clearly gorgeous, but she also was smart, kind, courageous. The list went on and on. While Spencer really liked Angel, he knew she wasn't ready for a relationship right now. They didn't talk much about her ex-boyfriend, but enough to see that she wasn't available to date anyone at the moment. It didn't matter, Spencer was willing to wait for her.
"Angel, hey. Did you see the new episode last night?" Spencer asked as he stood from his desk, walking over towards Angel.
Angel smiled, letting a small laugh escape her lips before shaking her head. "Unfortunately, no. I was on the phone with my parents last night and ended up missing it." Angel said, laughing as she put her bag down next to her desk and her coffee cup on top of the coaster sitting in the top right corner of her desk.
Spencer faked a gasp, his left hand going up to his chest as he let out a laugh. "Angel, how dare you. You have disgraced the name of Doctor Who." He joked before letting out another laugh, leaning against a desk opposite of Angel before noticing that she looked tired, and almost as if she was crying. "Angel, is everything alright? You look like you've been crying recently." Spencer asked, his voice immediately lowering, his eyes full of concern.
Angel mentally cursed to herself. Of course, Spencer would notice. She works with profilers who see every little thing about behaviors. Angel sighed, biting the bottom of her lip. Of course, she had told Spencer about the nightmare and described it, but it still wasn't easy to admit it. ".....I had the same nightmare again last night," Angel eventually admitted as she looked up at Spencer, her eyes casting so many emotions. Pain. Sadness. Anger, a little bit. Angel hated that she still thought of Raph, especially after seven months.
Spencer sighed as he walked over, gently pulling her into a hug. A gesture he'd done so many times, it felt natural. All he wanted to do was protect her. But how can one possibly protect someone from nightmares? It was impossible. He may not be able to stop them, but he can at least bring some comfort to the woman he was in love with. "I'm sorry, Angel. Is there anything I can do to help? Maybe a Doctor Who session with popcorn and your favorite candy?" Spencer asked before pulling away, looking her in her deep brown eyes.
Angel looked Spencer in the eyes before letting a sigh out, then she smiled at him. "A Doctor Who session sounds amazing, Spence," Angel said as she pulled away, grabbing her coffee and taking a sip.
Spencer and Angel eventually sat down at their appropriate desks, filling out paperwork as the rest of their team made their way in. Not even five minutes after their Unit Chief showed up, Emily walked out of her office, holding up a file and motioning to the briefing room. "Guys, we've got a case. Meet in the briefing room." Emily said in a firm tone as she walked towards the room.
Spencer and Angel both nodded before standing up and making their way as well. They took their usual seats next to each other at a round table with a screen in front, showing the crime scene photos. One by one, the team filed in. First, Rossi, then JJ, Lewis, Simmons, Alvez, and Garcia.
Garcia takes her usual place standing next to the screen with her remote in hand. "All right, my furry friends, pack your bags because you are headed to the Big Apple. NYPD is reporting 3 bodies of female victims, ages 20-25, and brunettes. The bodies were all found in alleyways next to garbage bins. They had no clothes on, and there were multiple stab wounds to the chest and genital areas, however no signs of sexual assault. Our first victim is Victoria Duncan, a 22-year old college student. She had just moved to New York about 6 months ago but was reported missing three weeks ago when she didn't show up for her psychology class for a few days straight. Professors say she was a great kid who wouldn't miss school unless there was a reason. Next, we have 20-year old Madeline Nelson. She worked as a waitress at a local diner, and she was reported missing about a week after Victoria when she didn't show up for her shift at work. One of her co-workers went to her apartment only to find she wasn't there, and that's when she called police. Our latest victim is 24-year old Jessie Malcolm. She worked at an insurance company, a typical 9-5 job. She was reported missing last week after she also missed her shift at work. Police say there are no obvious ways their paths would have crossed. They all lived in different parts of the city, hung out at different places, even had different banks. There's no sign that any of the ladies even knew each other." Garcia said as she showed all the victim's pictures of their face, bodies after death as well as the dumpsites.
No matter how many dead bodies Angel has seen, they always managed to creep her out to some sense of the word. Though, she never let it bother her. Angel looked over the crime scene photos of the bodies, looking for any signs of restraints. "Garcia, is there anyone who's gone missing recently that fits the description of our victims?" Spencer asked as he looked up, leaning back in his chair slightly.
Garcia shook her head softly before responding to Spencer, "Not yet, but I will double-check and let you know."
Emily nodded before looking to the team. "Alright, if this unsub has a schedule, we've got a few days before he finds his next victim. Wheels up in 30." The team nodded in unison before standing up, grabbing their files, and heading to their desks to grab their go-bag and equipment.
Angel couldn't help but let her mind wander. New York City. The same place she left seven months ago, and the same place that her first love lived at. She prayed to whatever god was up there that she didn't run into Raphael. With her bad luck, though, She probably would.
No matter. It doesn't matter if Angel does see Raph again, she's going for her job, and that's that. Whether she was ready or not, she knew she needed to prepare herself to see him again if the time comes.

Forever.
That was the promise Raph made to Angel when they had started to show more than just a crush on one another. The promise he made on Christmas as he gave her a necklace with their names engraved in the small heart. Honestly, they both thought they'd last forever.
It was, of course, just a delusion—a silly delusion for people who were in love too young. It was foolish to think that they would last forever; at least, that's what Angel thought the day he left her. She still remembered that day as if it was just yesterday. It was the worst day in her life, and Angel still hasn't fully recovered from the events that took place. It wasn't a matter that it was severely traumatic, but it was the first significant heartbreak she had. As such, like with most first loves, it held a considerable part of significance in her life.
Of course, Angel knew all about Raph's ex-girlfriend. She was called P, though Angel never found out her real name, especially not before she and Raph broke up. At first, the signs were subtle, starting with slight mentions about her before they grew more and more extravagant. Soon, the short remarks turned into phrases, then conversations. Before Angel knew it, they argued about Raphs feelings around P. How he seemingly compared Angel to his ex. Angel never thought it would break their relationship despite all the arguments.
The day they broke up, Angel had been getting dinner cooked for the both of them. She had big news to tell Raph that she thought would save their relationship and maybe finally give them something to talk about without it turning into an argument. But, of course, Angel immediately knew something was wrong in her gut when Raph grudgingly climbed through the window. Of course, she was used to his attitude, but something about it was different this time.
Angel went to serve dinner at the table when she tried to start the conversation. "Raph, hey. How was patrol?" She asked softly, looking up at her boyfriend. As she looked at the love of her life, she felt herself trying to push that gut feeling out. The feeling of knowing something was going to happen, that something was going to go wrong. But of course, Angel didn't want to trust her gut. She tried to make this work, this relationship between them. Angel longed to make this tension between the two better, hoping that maybe there was something she could do to make this better, to fix this even if others found it was unfixable.
Raph looked up at Angel for only a moment before he rolled his eyes and looked away. Then, of course, he noticed the glee in her voice, her over joyful facial expression. He didn't know when exactly, but eventually, it got to a point where he grew annoyed at seeing that expression on her face. Though, if he was honest, Raph didn't know when this happened. He didn't know when he started getting annoyed with her when he used to find this so endearing about her.
"oh, hey," Raph muttered as he climbed through the window. Raph wasn't sure if he should shut the window, knowing that what he was going to say would completely destroy his relationship with her, and, well, he's gonna need a quick way out.
Of course, silence quickly fell between the two as neither really knew how to continue the conversation. Angel looked down at the ground as she bit her lip. Her eyes glanced at dinner that was set up before she motioned to it. "Um, I-I made dinner for us...Thought you might be hungry." She managed to stutter out, hoping that for once, he'd agree.
Raph glanced over at the table with food on it as he contemplated in his head. Should he prolong this longer than he needed to? Well, if he was serious about this, the least he owed her was one last dinner with her. With his arms crossed, he nodded before going to sit down, not even waiting for her. Needless to say, he wasn't going to worry about manners now.
Angel watched as Raph took a seat at the table, and she let out a soft breath, thankful he finally agreed. Perhaps this was ultimately a sign that he was ready to work on their relationship. She didn't even mind that he started to eat without her as she took a seat next to them. Dinner was passing by quietly, and neither had said a word to the other yet. Minutes started to pass by quickly, with the two just eating quietly, neither sure how to start the conversation, though there was clearly a difference in the topic.
Angel looked over at Raph again, taking a sip of water before she spoke again. "Raph...I've meant to talk to you, but I wanted to tell you in person and not over the phone," Angel spoke, taking a deep breath as she was about to continue before she was interrupted by Raph.
"Uh, Angel, I've actually been meaning to talk to you too." He said before he cut her off before she said anything else. Raph knew he needed to tell her now and quickly led her on. He wasted no time as the following words that came out of his mouth broke Angel. "Angel, we need to break up."
At that moment, Angel felt her whole world come crashing down. She wasn't even sure if she heard that correctly, hoping that she misheard. "W-What? You're kidding, right? I mean, this has to be some sort of sick joke." Angel said, already feeling the tears welling up in her eyes. She didn't want to believe this was actually happening, that she was actually about to lose Raph. Her mind started to race to wonder what she did wrong and how to get Raph to stay.
Raph shook his head as he crossed his arms and looked at Angel. "No, I'm not kidding, Angel. I'm serious. I want to break up. We clearly aren't happy together, and honestly, I'm tired of everything. I mean, you can barely leave me alone for more than one night. You just too clingy, and I'm done." He muttered as he looked away. Even though he knew that wasn't all true, he wanted to find any reason to break up with her.
Angel could feel her heartbreaking. There was a sinking pit feeling in her stomach as she processed what was being said. Was she really being clingy? Sure she may be texting him every day, but....it's nothing new. She'd always text him daily, especially on the days where he had patrol. Angel didn't think he minded; in fact, Raph always told her he enjoyed seeing her texts.
Raph nodded before he stood up and turned to walk away. "Sorry, Angel." He muttered before he climbed out of the window and went to the rooftops, walking out of Angel's life for good. It took several minutes before Angel realized what had happened.
Looking down at the table, Angel saw her vision go blurry and her tears streaming down her face before she inevitably broke down crying. Her hands covered her face as she wept at her dining room table. This wasn't a dream; this was reality....and she hated it. She felt her world go black as she wept for hours on hours.
Angel woke up and rubbed her eyes as she looked around, taking a few minutes before remembering where she was. Angel looked over at Spencer as he drove, though he took a few minutes to look over at her. Then, looking down, she saw his hand on her forearm as she rubbed her eyes. "Spence...sorry, did you say something?" She asked softly.
Was she just....dreaming about that day? Well, more like reliving the memory, she supposed.
"Yea. You fell asleep, and I got worried cause....you started muttering in your sleep the same name. Raph." Spencer explained as he constantly switched his gaze from the road to Angel. While he didn't usually bother Angel when she slept, he started to worry when she kept repeating that name over and over. It was the first he heard of it but based on the way she said it, it was clear there was something behind that name.
Angel looked over at Spencer before she rubbed her eyes again and nodded. "I'm fine, Spence...I was just dreaming, I guess." She said softly before she looked around.
Spencer looked over again before he sighed. "Angel, are you sure yo-" He said before he was interrupted by Angel. Of course, it was expected since Angel didn't want to talk about this. Especially not now.
"Spencer, I promise. I'm ok. It was just a dream, ok? Let's leave it at that." Angel said quickly, not wanting to spend another minute on the topic. Looking around, Angel noticed they were getting close to the next dumpsite, so it was an excuse not to delve into the whole thing. Although, Angel felt like this wasn't the last that she would hear about it.
