He had been minding his usual weary days, resting up from and for an undisclosed adventure. However, the kiss that was about to come was a scary exploration, Aster almost accidentally categorizing himself as an enemy with it. There was a staring contest, a stern scowl coming over Ginko’s face, and then Aster leaned in and kissed him and -
Why did such absurd things always have to happen?
“what was that for?!" Ginko hissed after Aster retreated, a pure shade of red from both anger and embarrassment flushing the mushishi’s face, "Haven’t you already pestered me enough?!"
Of course it had to be Ginko of all people that he had run across first. He wasn't even sure how he had gotten to this part of the world, no doubt he had wandered down a side tunnel without meaning to, and now here he was. The strange magic of the grayface working on him. He'd stared, meeting the mushishi's glare with not even a flinch.
Really, he wasn't paying much attention, just glaring in Ginko's direction because of course, of course the fates would be this perverse. Perhaps he should have explained himself first, but all Aster had been thinking about was getting rid of the dang mistletoe hanging over his head.
Really, it had al seemed logical to him. If he wanted to avoid having to repeat this mortifying experience, he was going to have to do things right. It would have to be on the lips, and it would have to be for an appropriate amount of time. He hated grayface magic. Pulling back after what, he hoped, was an appropriate interval, Aster quickly stepped away and checked to see if all the conditions of the absurd curse had been met. Thank the stars! Already the mistletoe was fading.
Ginko's hiss returned him to reality, and the weight of what he had done settled on him, a slight bit of colour entering his own cheeks. "It's not like I enjoyed it! Stupid grayface magic!" Aster growled right back at him. "If ya would just stop...appearing everywhere then this wouldn't of happened!"
