“i don’t like these fancy clothes, though,” dionysus whined, following his mother to whatever stupid-ass event she had planned out next. “i’m a gangster now, you know. dad’s making hades groom me. so i can dress like them-- i don’t have to be all fancy. i’m a man now.”

“i know you may not think it necessary, but zeus insisted i accompany you on your errands today. something about rising tensions,” poseidon muttered awkwardly. “i know you’re capable of taking care of yourself, but i’m hardly stupid enough to deny him. if...you want, we can pretend like it’s not me being your bodyguard, though. for all intents and purposes, i could just be helping with errands? i’m good at carrying bags?”

“i hardly think that was necessary,” zeus grumbled defensively, metaphorical storm clouds gathering over his head. so what if sometimes he got a little distracted by pretty girls? he was married. he’d probably never stray from his wife-- she didn’t need to lash out to ensure that. though, he had to admit, the jealously was hot. “i was just trying to get a free drink.”
To Hera
It's June, the month stereotypically known for everyone getting married, and derived from Hera's roman name, Juno. As such, I'm dedicating a large portion of my devotional activities this month to Her.
One of the smaller, casual, semi-daily ones I've liked to do so far is seeking out pages on my digital coloring book/paint by numbers app that look like/remind me of Hera or are depictions of Her sacred items and symbols. I will update this periodically throughout the rest of the month.
Majestic Lady Queen, Goddess above all immortals, ruler of the skies-- I dedicate this offering to you. Each image represents time I have spent in my life dedicated to you, reveling in your Glory.
