To J.S. - Alfred Lord Tennyson, 1842 // Mary Haskell to Kahlil Gibran, 1912 // Big God - Florence and the Machine, 2018
God gives us love—
something to love He lends us.
but when love is grown to ripeness
that on which it throve falls off—
and love is left alone.
I have been lost in my space of thoughts, and I still can't find the way out of this void I made in my heart. I am missing you. I miss writing letters to you. But I know that I am not in the right state to write more letters to you. For now, at least. But know that there is not a day that I don't yearn for your voice. There is not a day that I never miss seeing your smiles.
My dear, the time will come and I will be able to patch myself together, and by then, I will continue writing letters for you.
