Catch Up: Use today's time to get caught up on things.
Ever had things that needed to be or get taken care of but were put on the back burner? It’s Saturday, so let’s use our time to catch up. Let’s get caught up on things around the house, on the cars, on the site, and whatever else there is to be done that is still on the to do list. Let’s be good stewards of the time we have today!

Top of Mind: Let's get it done and finish strong today!
As I prepare for today and realize it is the close of another workweek as well as the day my younger daughter plays in the conference championship game for soccer, what’s top of mind is the need to get it done and finish strong today. What is top of mind for you? What is on the to-do list that needs to get to to-done? What’s it going to take for you to choose to finish strong?
To get it done…
Ever had to take it right to the line to get it done on time?
Well, a new spin around the sun has begun and I managed to get the first episode of my BeTheDads.com podcast live. I know it is the first and so it is going to need some refining so all creative feedback to help improve it is welcomed. A new day, a new trip, a new adventure is ahead. So let’s make the most of it!
Today’s Reading:
Ever realized the sky forecasting how the day will be came from…
go to vape shop and get best friend some replacement tanks for e-cig
go eat lunch
go to temporary Halloween store; search store for any useful things for Project Pirate Theme Haunted Porch; text husband about outdoor use spotlights, in case he wants one or more
go to new discount store next door to temporary Halloween store and look for anything useful for Project Pirate Theme Haunted Porch
go 2 doors down to Michael’s and acquire better storage basket for plastic storage above fridge, plus get treasure chest shaped storage box for Project Pirate Theme Haunted Porch candy bin {fail! they have none. Remaindered months ago. Now all the storage boxes are Christmas-themed.}
go to Party City {fail! I was in the right parking lot but ran out of spoons faster than I needed to}
go to storage and collect fall clothes, plus look through my Halloween box for any parts I can use toward my Project Pirate Theme Haunted Porch costume. Pet my cat tail, which I will not be wearing this year. I love my cat tail. It flexes and sways when I walk. {fail! no spoons}
cut up the smoked roasts, portion out some for dinner, some for meals soon, bundle and freeze the rest
make sure pumpkin will fit in oven. Let husband know how much of stem must be trimmed to avoid Undesired Flambe.
get down on knees and clean out ash from recent Oven Self-Clean cycle
spend time with husbands
go to bed before agony sets in
I had a hard time staying asleep after the first couple hours. Intrusive thoughts kept running on an endless loop, mostly about how much I do not like my mother’s drinking buddies, and how bad a “vacation” that entire visit was, and how I really should have seen that problem coming and made some other choices.
Today I have accomplished the following so far:
get up out of bed
wash up
medicate surgery site on foot
eat something
drink coffee
watch my stories (Flash and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)
clean kitchen stovetop, counter, and floor
clean wall between garbage can and recipe bookshelf
clean out sink
move pumpkin to sink
best friend carved the lid off the pumpkin for me, because I am shaky and probably should not use a knife that sharp
clean out pumpkin guts
this is a kind of large pumpkin
maybe I should have gotten a smaller pumpkin
too late now
wash, dry, roast, season, and finish roasting the pumpkin seeds
such a big pumpkin and this is maybe a cup of seeds?
start laundry
determine that the new grocery ad includes no Let’s Try Smoking That experiment targets
hang up the kitchen painting the husbands got on Parent Visit trip
clean up stovetop and counters and sink again
hand-wash dishes
empty dishwasher
load dishwasher with few items currently available
add calendar event for Schedule Vitamin Shot for Burchie the Elderly Cat
research when he has needed previous Vitamin Shots to get a sense for how long a delay has been too long
I still need to move laundry to the dryer, wash my hair, wear clothes, prepare the stuff that will go in the pumpkin, find and prepare several containers for the no-pumpkin version, find my therapy homework notebook, review said homework, and scrub the cat water bowls. And maybe take painkillers before I start cooking, because I will certainly need them by the time I am done.
