As a little Boxing Day present, I thought i’d share a couple teaser renders from my biggest MOC project yet… Project Cordak.

Over the next year, I plan to design and physically build the 8 members of Lesovikk’s ill-fated team, complete with custom masks, light-up eyes, and maybe even specially made canisters with graphics, instructions, and custom lids. More than any of my previous projects, I want these Toa to feel like they dropped out of a parallel 2007, where Lego released a full wave of Toa Cordak rather than the one special set.

I’m super excited to start assembling these ancient heroes and developing their characters, so expect little bits and pieces to drop now and then before and between the completed MOCs. Hope you enjoy!

Good news Bionicle Fans that follow me!

I have finally both finished my entire toa team, AND I have names and lore for them!! It took WAY longer than I thought it would, but the end result will be worth it, trust me guys!

I put a lot of hard work into each and every character, and I threw 1 or 2 curveballs into the mix as well that I think you will all enjoy.

For now though I need a moment to breath and rest. I'll be posting them soon though so don't miss it!

Got my final batch of parts in, so now I’m pleased to present my custom Toa team, the Toa Tonga!

Broke out my old slap-dash light-box for some photos! So we’ve got:

Zejbek, grizzled Toa of Stone and leader of the team

Garehu, impulsive Toa of Fire

Kubu, jolly Toa of Plantlife

Neru, stalwart Toa of Earth

Tioka, bashful Toa of Ice

Both Garehu and Zejbek lost a limb in a previous battle, and both later acquired prosthetic limbs thanks to a group of Fe-Matoran. While Garehu opted for a standard leg, Zejbek decided to make his new arm a dedicated Toa Tool and was gifted the Wire Claw. It acts as a grappling hook, and Zejbek makes use of his Matatu to navigate it around obstacles and enemies. While intended as a climbing tool it can be used in combat as a long range punch or as a means to yank enemies closer.

Both Zejbek and Garehu carry a Kanohi Paraki as a secondary mask. Zejbek acts as a mentor to Garehu, reigning in his hot-blooded nature, but when the going gets rough these two are the front of the charge.

Tioka was a nomad wandering the snowy wastes before coming across the Toa Tonga, and is the newest member of the team. He seems distant, but really he’s just shy. Neru’s love of research and scholarly nature allowed the two to become quick friends, and Kubu’s out-going nature has helped Tioka come out of his shell around the team. For as long as the team has known Neru, he’s had specialty armor around his waist and legs that emits a low-light in darkness.

I took my lightbox down so I don’t have a photo of it but Tioka’s pavise also doubles as a snowboard, and Kubu tends to channel her plantlife powers as a vine blast from the tip of her staff.

This is the first time I’ve made a dedicated Toa team and I’m quite proud of the results! I’m particularly proud of Neru’s pickaxe, Zejbek’s Wire Claw, and Tioka’s pavise. Thanks for reading!

The Toa Morehu finally assembled. In order of presentation:

Tayluu, strict and fiery Toa of psionics. Also team leader.

Thode, cold and callous Toa of plasma. Functions as the 2nd in command for the group. Character was created by BobTheDoctor27.

Kualus, compassionate yet socially awkward Toa of ice. Fulfills the role of scout for the team. His bird's name is Kinu.

Gorta, shy yet determined Toa of water. Team healer. Character was created by BobTheDoctor27.

Sygmus, arrogant and inventive Toa of sonics. Performs as the team's engineer.

Lythwin, sadistic and animalistic Toa of plantlife. Operates as the tank.

All members have a functional gear system created by SubParFauxPas.

Five of them are using bicep parts created by KINGSIDORAK on Shapeways, whereas Gorta uses parts made by Protoa Toys on the same site. Both variants of the piece were based off of designs by Lehvak Nuva.

Lythwin's Mask of Growth and Sygmus' Kakatu were both created by Galva.

Gorta's Zatth and Tayluu's Volitak were made by KhingK, with the latter being based off of KluuchArt's design.

Kualus' Mask of Rahi Control was created by 00dude00 on Shapeways.

Toa team more or less complete

Hey all, I finished off my Toa today, and I wanted to share.

This is Takitahi, Toa of fire. He is a veteran Toa, with many years of solo work under his belt. It is only recently that he has joined the team, where he acts as deputy and as a voice of experience. His mask of choice is a Great Isima, Mask of Possibilities.

This is Rakau, Toa of Plantlife. He is generally an easygoing sort, but please don’t comment on his height - he is a bit insecure about it. His mask of choice is the Great Faxon.

This is Ceana, Toa of Psionics. She is a kindly soul, and is especially protective of Rakau, who served with her on their previous team. Her mask of choice is the Great Kiril.

This is Delos, Toa of Sonics. She is incredibly loyal to her companions, often acting to draw enemy attacks away from the others. Her mask of choice is the Great Arthron.

These are Maunga and Toka, Toa of Stone. Before becoming Toa, they worked in the same carving shop, where they helped create the blades they each use. Maunga’s mask of choice is the Great Sanok, and Toka’s is the Great Garai.

Last but not least, here is Ahi, Toa of Plasma, and the team’s leader. She is hot-blooded, but strives to lead the team as best as she can in their duty to protect the Matoran. Her mask of choice is the Great Hau.
