I forgot what this thing was called but it's super cool. Though I know, it is supposed to be a frog monster, considering the tail... Tadpole monster.
Tbh, I think the crotch skull, was a little unnecessary, but ehhh....

A new monster for my zine. The toad Warrior. I'll probably make it a playable race in my game.
A yokai formed from a toad's longevity. The ōgama are yokai toads of enormous size with breath the color of rainbows. This yokai is often dangerous, after having grown large enough ōgama view humans as potential prey.
Some animals people raise for food. The toads aren’t as popular as they used to be since they’re a hassle to raise and will try to eat you, plus they don’t taste that great. But they’re hardy and can last for a while without food, so in the olden days when people were hunting they’d feed the inedible scraps to the toads.
Plus ofc their hide is very good for sturdy work-clothes.
The second pic depicts a tame basilisk. They’re like chickens. Very friendly tho.
Doug Beekman’s original painting used as the cover for David C Smith’s The Sorcerer’s Shadow in 1978, apparently painted some time earlier and not depicting events from the novel -- A better look at one possible inspiration for D&D’s froghemoth
