1. War’s parents were not around very often because her mother was a shieldmaiden who frequently went on raids with her father. She was often passed around by the other members of the village until Chris eventually decided to watch her himself so she could have a bit of stability.
2. War’s parents were killed during a raid when she was young so Chris took her in and decided he would look after her by himself.
3. Chris likes to flirt with some all the single women in the village but War intentionally sabotages his advances when he brings them home by interrupting and just overall killing the mood.
4. When War first expressed her interests in being a shieldmaiden, Chris tried to convince her otherwise before finally deciding he wasn’t going to sway the stubborn child. So instead of trying to deter her, Chris took it upon himself to teach War how to use a sword so she would be better prepared.
5. War always refers to Chris as her brother so some of the villagers who don’t know their history have no idea that they aren’t actually related to one another by blood.
“Quiet! Someone’s going to hear.”
The giggling Alpha covered her mouth in an attempt to muffle the sounds she was making. After a few short moments, she managed to calm herself back down, her voice coming out as a more controlled whisper this time, “Ok, ok. I’m quiet. I’ll be quiet.”
