RIGHT? xerox era Disney (but especially Milt Kahl) animated their characters like 10x better than some of newest Disney animated movies. They actually look like they have stretchable skin lol

yes! the last disney thing i watched in cinemas was Frozen 2 and boy that stuff looked bad.... even taking into consideration that they’re different mediums the quality of character acting/ expression/ design is so tragically off. Only Sony Animation has given me the cartoony expression range I want to see in animation so far.

you said the dog too, and like, literally, I modded the game so I could have just Hancock and Dogmeat follow me everywhere. I also gave Hancock a giant minigun with unlimited ammo and I’ve never made a better decision

AAAAAAAAHHH u saw the lighthouse? I need your opinions on it (for science)

I DID!! FINALLY! (my dad put it in the program of his art house cinema just for me lol)

I just came home so I don’t have any fully formed opinion yet except that I enjoyed it a lot. I think I came out of it cackling like a mad man too. I have to say I really love that we get such movies again, like Midsommar too, that just take you on a trip. That’s cinema to me, that’s where I have fun.

I have to say I didn’t catch the gay stuff as much (but I’m ace and in general will not notice “obvious sexual tension” half the time) but I am proud that I noticed the phallic qualities of the lighthouse. lol Obviously it looked very beautiful and was acted wonderfully. I was positively surprised that it wasn’t as gross as it could have been. I love the fantastic elements and images and also how it all felt very real and there. Like in older movies. And I knew that I would be watching two dudes going insane on a rock but there was still stuff that surprised me and made me wonder where all of this is going. Will be reading a bit out the behind the scenes now.
