There is a lot going on with this Iglooghost x Toby Gale track - all kinds of bloops, sampled vocals that are pitch shifted up and down, hyper-realism, audio artifacts: its pretty obvious that the rise of this new(ish) ultra-harmonized form of bass-heavy pop music that has been popularized by the likes of Sophie and PC Music has had its influence smeared in all of its glossy glory across electronic music and even this track right here.

Still, even with the similarities ‘Honey Soaker’ does well in working in its own kind of magic. While the harmonies and big bass is all here it doesn’t feel like a recycled idea and you can tell there are two artists at work at developing their own style in a new but already convoluted niche-genre.
