Today I put one of my fave episodes of The New Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo Show into the spot light - and lo and behold this is not a shipping post! 🚫 cuz some of the many things I like about this episode are the subtle allusions to two hollywood classics I used to watch and enjoy with my parents as a kid. 👨‍👩‍👧 📺

It has a masquerade ball 🎭 at a castle-like mansion 🏰 threatened by an infamous cat burglar 🦹just like in Hitchcock's suspence romance comedy 'To Catch a Thief' with Grace Kelly and Cary Grant.

Also it has a scene where loads of promotional soap packs turn a swimming pool into a bubble bath like in 'The Thrill of it All' with Doris Day. 🧼🙈
