Its been some time since Tochi had succeeded and became Karen the 4th. 'Is Tochi still the same? I hope she didn't change a lot like Youko-san...' Megu thought with a worried face. As she walked down the hallway towards the stairs to the dinning room for breakfast, she spotted Tochi coming down the stairs. "Ah, Tochi! Congratulations for succeeding Karen!" The brunette bowed a little awkwardly. "...Do you mind if I still call you Tochi?"

Breakfast~

Stepping lightly down the stairs, Chieri hummed along to Katamoi Finally, the song she was practicing for the week. When she arrived in the kitchen, she saw that there was no food out. 

"Ah... Chef Papa, are you making more?" Laughing, he responded that Mayuyu had already been and gone, so she'd just have to wait a moment. 

The door opened and a member of the 78th generation came in. "Ah! Tochi! Survived combat, I see."

Miyukin spots Tochime!

Miyuki snuck around the dorms, grinning to herself while looking for more members. This place was like paradise to Miyuki, who loved cute things. And that included cute girls. Like the original Jurina, who Miyuki wanted to succeed, Miyuki had a tendency to either hug or plant surprise kisses on her fellows members, especially if they were cute. And everyone was cute in 0048. She spotted someone's back, with long, silver hair. Aha. Target spotted, Miyuki thought to herself mischeviously. Leaping up behind her and hugging the girl from behind, Miyuki yelled. "Surprise!"

As it rains, young girls protect a concert...

It was raining. The ground turned to mud and many girls fell. Screams and cries mixed in with gun shots, the whirring mechanics of DES mechas. In the distance, the members of AKB0048 could be heard, singing like the understudy hopefuls weren't fighting for their concert, fighting for their lives.

By the time the final song, Heavy Rotation, had stopped, there were only eight of them left. Huffing, they stood up as Tsubasa reached them. With a small smirk, all she said was "Congratulations on becoming a member of AKB0048. Don't let us down."

The girls who had fallen in the background were recovering from shock, finding out their 'blood' was actually just paint, though it didn't ease the bruises they'd made, didn't ease the shock and fear of battle. 

But for those who had made it, those who had passed... It was all smiles and cheers. "I'm finally a member!" "I knew it!" "This was a joke?!?" And so you would return to Akibastar, this time, not as a hopeful, but as a fully fledged member of AKB0048's 78th generation. Well done, girls.

Get To Know The Next Generation

AKB0048 recruits new members from all across the galaxy. Many of those hopefuls have started to arrive on Akibastar. They've passed the first audition round and soon, they'll be put to the test!

Speaking is very important for an idol. MCs keep the audience entertained and for Sono Chieri, Shinonome Sonata, and Yukirin the 6th speaking was vital when they were kidnapped by the DTGO!

So how good are the next generation? We've found a few of them and asked them a few questions. Will they become members of 0048? Will they become your oshi? Only time will tell! Until then, here are the hopefuls for the 78th generation!
