Impulse 57 was published with a cover date of February 2000. The issue took place on Christmas Eve. The issue introduced Dox, whom Impulse got for Christmas. Dox was created by Todd Dezago and Ethan Van Sciver. Impulse, Plastic Man, and Woozy found themselves mixed up in a plot by Mxyzptlk and a robot Santa Claus. impulse 1995 had such a good ending that coulda gone so many places if bart had been picked up by a writer that actually respected waid and wieringo’s vision. instead we got whiteboy #847 of the teen titans who couldn’t even be salvaged when he became the flash. the stories were RIGHT THERE. unlike didio, dezago and company did leave multiple threads open for the next round of writers. instead, geoff went power hungry crazy, and wasted people’s time for ten years. best thing anyone can do is skip ttv03 and head straight to kid flash lost. that book at least continues bart’s ascension to godhood. the true godspeed and the white flash of both the pre-and-post-flashpoint world.
