The Mallards won 6-3 this afternoon in a rebound win against the Brampton Beast.
Stephen Thorne began the scoring at 3:46 of the first from Mike MacIssac and Mathew Maione. Todd Fiddler struck back at 11:24 from Mike Monfredo and Kevin Baker to tie the game, Jason Pitton giving the Beast the lead less than a minute later from Bobby Hughes and Tyson Fawcett.
Pearce Eviston tied the game once more from Justin Fox and Mario Lamoureux at 17:36 of the opening frame, beginning a long scoring streak for the Mallards. Nicolas Rioux scored on the powerplay just 2:36 into the sandwich stanza from Jeff Lee and Logan Nelson, Fox scoring five minutes later from Rioux to put the Flock up 4-2.
Baker found twine with help from Fiddler, chasing Grant Rollheiser from the net to be replaced by Trevor Cann. Anthony Collins put the Mallards up 6-2 from Fiddler and Baker at 14:54 of the second period, only to have Chad Painchaud score on the powerplay at 2:01 of the final frame from Justin Donati and Calin Wild

Evan Mosher made 25 saves on 28 shots for Rollheiser's 11 saves on 16 shots and Cann's 12 saves on 13 shots.
